Same Sex Legalization: My View

Tue, 5 Jun 2007 Source: Afrifa, Kwadwo Owusu

There has been a recent public uproar on the issue of legalizing same sex marriage or banning it outright. Many have aired their candid and individualised opinions on the issue but a common trend I've observed from the writings on the subject on the web has been the mistake of many to forget the biblical prophesies on the consequecies of such abominable acts on nations that practiced such sorts in times past and in times to come. On this note, I'd be extremely glad if the Christian community would search the HOLY SCRIPTURES and refresh their memories on the devastating effects this our dear nation would be plundered into if we so much over-enjoy human liberties and make the dreadful mistake of legalising same sex marriage.

I was happy to read the article from the author from K.N.U.S.T. God bless you Mister, wherever you may be.

For those who are interested in the things of God, and all those who may be interested now or later in the things of God, let's please refer to what the Holy Bible says in Leviticus chapter 18:22-30 which irrevocably states" Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgements, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojouneth among you: (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you. For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye shall defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God". I'd extremely be glad if the whole of the chapter 18 could be read and momorised.

Good people of our dear nation, hope I've not confused you on the issue but however varied your opinion is on the legality of same sex mariage and or same sex esctacies, the Bible still has stood the test of time. It is very concrete on how abominable such practices and acts are before God Omnipotent. I would not go so much into explaining the biblical reference above: it is self explanatory and clear. These acts, according to the Bible, are of old, and nations that practiced them have suffered so much of the wrath of God already. Several examples are given in the Bible with the consequencies thereof. We should remember that, even if it is legalized, it still does not nullify the Bible's position on it; we would still suffer the wrath of God for such acts.

Our grannies of good memories have toiled vehemently to leave this nation for our exploits and gain-adding and value-addition, not destruction. Please, let us not make laws to jeorpadise the generations yet unborn. They will forever curse us. The slightest loss of sight on what we stand for us a nation, just to blindly follow the West, who envy our culture and land in the first place, we would loose every single thing we've for so long toiled for to the wrath of God. It is my fervent prayer that our current leaders and even those to come after would not yield to earthly preasures and ever legalize these abominable acts.

For the sake of returning with more on this issue, I would rest for now and urge all well-meaning Ghanaians to enter into a moment of endless prayer to save our dear nation from imminent catastrophy.
