The Dormaahene Nana Agyemang Badu II has now become the "Moses" for the people of Brong Ahafo Region,leading the charge on Asantehene's diatribe which could have been a genuine cause for war in the olden days. When shoving comes to push the person doing that needs to be checked or corrected and this is exactly what the Dormaahene has told the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and the Asanteman when Asantehene resorted to threats and intimidation on the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs for failing in their duties to give automatic recognition to some paramount chiefs in the region who swear the oath of allegiance to him, and also laying claims that Brong Ahafo Region once belonged to Asanteman.It has recently become very common of the Asantehene to use what means possible to get his way or send messages to his Chiefs and Ghanaians as a whole.What Otumfuo should know is that none of the regions in Ghana owe allegiance to any other region in this modern time. The citizens in the country owe allegiance only to the country GHANA. Otumfuo is gradually setting the stage for hatred between the two regions instead of uniting them.When Dr Kwame Nkrumah said " Ghana my beloved country is free forever", he meant externally and internally without any strings attached. Queen Elizabeth II cannot dictate to Ghana, Australia, Canada or the US just because all these countries were once under the British Empire.Gone are the days when tribe "A" had to pay homage to tribe "B" for the simple reason that they were defeated in war or whatever.If the Asantehene finds it difficult to erase from his mind that the people of Brong Ahafo Region are independent, then Nana Agyemang Badu II has forcefully and uneqivocally told him that what he said was inconsistent with the truth and patently false.Brong Ahafo citizens and their chiefs have to live free or perish.
I was expecting the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs to come out with a rebuttal on what was said by Otumfuo but for some reason they have kept quiet. Maybe they are spinless and cowards.Silence is always interpreted as acceptance or admittance.I know for sure that so far as Nana Agyemang Badu II is around, no amount of pressure, intimidation, and threats will be able to force the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs to acquiesce what Otumfuo Osei Tutu II said.It should therefore be made known to these chiefs who are aspiring to become paramount chiefs that only the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs could elevate them to any status.If they insist on getting their way then they should be told in no uncertain terms that Brong Ahafo region is not under the tutelage of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II or the Asanteman.
They should then be banished from taken part in the proceedings of Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs.Why didn't Otumfuo summon these chiefs to Manhyia or the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs to give them this automatic recognition which could have been very simple and without any challenge from any body?.You cannot live in Ghana and pay your taxes in Togo.

Kosovo had recently declared itself independent from Serbia so the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II should understand and concentrate his authority in Ashanti Region.If on the other hand he wants to go to court,then the Brong Ahafo Regional House of Chiefs is ready to tell him "SEE YOU IN COURT".
