If Addo-Danquah Akufo-Addo, the questionable flagbearer of the NPP, was hoping that he will be able to ignore the plethora of solid allegations hanging around his neck as regards his addiction to smoking wee and sniffing cocaine, then Akufo-Addo is damn wrong.
If Addo-Danquah Akufo-Addo, the questionable flagbearer of the NPP, was hoping that time will sweep the strong allegations that he smokes wee and sniffs cocaine under the carpet, Akufo-Addo must be realizing that Ghanaians are not prepared to let this cocaine matter slip into oblivion.
For close to a year that Akufo-Addo has been strutting around as the flagbearer of the NPP, not a day passes by without his alleged drug addiction being the subject of discussion across the length and breadth of the country.
In, homes, bars, shops, cars, offices, etc, the subject of Akufo-Addo’s alleged addiction to wee and cocaine never ceases to be topical.
Indeed, even before Akufo-Addo secured a questionable victory to become the flagbearer of the party that has come to be known as the, narcotics peddlers party, the allegations of Akufo-Addo being strongly addicted to wee and cocaine did the rounds.
At the time, it was people within the NPP family, who threw about lots of strong allegations that Akufo-Addo does not lose any opportunity to smoke wee and sniff cocaine.
For a fact, people like Michael Ampong, who belonged to the Allan Cash faction, did not hide their strong dislike for Akufo-Addo because of his questionable character.
For a fact, Michael Ampong is on record to have put it out that the NPP will be doing itself a great disservice if it went ahead to make Akufo-Addo the flagbearer of the NPP because of Akufo-Addo’s alleged addiction to wee and cocaine.
In that period, lots of txt messages flew in all directions from within the NPP, asking delegates to reject Akufo-Addo because a character who smokes wee and sniffs cocaine cannot be entrusted with the destiny of the NPP, and by extension, cannot be entrusted with the destiny of the Mother Ghana.
Nana Kofi Coomson, who is the owner and Publisher of the Chronicle Group of newspapers, shared the sentiments of those who called on NPP delegates to reject Akufo-Addo because Akufo-Addo is not a person in whose hands the destiny of Ghana can be entrusted.
On Radio Gold, Kofi Coomson, in typical Coomson style, took Akufo-Addo on, and told the whole world that he (Coomson) will not be able to sleep with his eyes closed if Ghanaians should ever make a mistake and give Akufo-Addo the mandate to misgovern the country.
In that interview, Kofi Coomson, going by the words that fell from his lips, most certainly fell short of saying that Akufo-Addo is addicted to wee and cocaine.
But for discerning minds, it was easy to decipher that Kofi Coomson was worried about an Akufo-Addo presidency because Coomson knows Akufo-Addo at close range, and knows the kinds of unacceptable things that Akufo-Addo does.
It is rather surprising that after letting the whole world know that he will not be able to close his eyes for one second under an unlikely Akufo-Addo presidency, the self-same Kofi Coomson is now campaigning vigorously for Akufo-Addo to become President of Kwame Nkrumah’s Ghana. Time really changes!!!
Two days ago, the NDC Forum for Setting the Records Straight, for very good reason, brought the issue of Akufo-Addo’s alleged addiction to wee and cocaine onto the front burner.
The NDC Forum for Setting the Records Straight is asking Akufo-Addo to come clean on the strong and heavy allegations that he smokes wee and sniffs cocaine.
The Forum is asking very relevant questions and Akufo-Addo is expected to as soon as possible come out from hibernation and tell Ghanaians whether it is the case that he smokes wee and sniffs cocaine or not.
Were Akufo-Addo not seeking the highest office of the land, it would have been nobody’s business if Akufo-Addo swims in wee and sleeps in cocaine.
But for a person who wants to be given the mandate to manage the affairs of state, the character of Akufo-Addo has to be questioned and it is for that reason that the people of Ghana want Akufo-Addo to quickly respond to the issues of his alleged addiction to wee and cocaine.
Ghanaians want Akufo-Addo to personally respond to the issue of his alleged addiction to wee and cocaine, and not send the likes of certificateless Jake Obetsebi Lamptey (son of the terrorist Obetsebi Lamptey who in the 50’s and 60’s distributed bombs from his Bawaleshie base to infidels like I.C Quaye to be detonating at CPP rallies, one of which killed the innocent young school girl at Kulungugu), to do the denying on his behalf.
Jake himself is a man without any credibility so people like him cannot be the ones who should be denying that Akufo-Addo does not smoke wee nor sniffs cocaine.
When it was alleged that Professor Mills was very sick, the learned Professor took charge of his Public Relations and personally responded to the matter.
That is the mark of a man who has nothing to hide.
If Akufo-Addo believes that he has nothing to hide, he should also take charge of his Public Relations and tell the good people of Ghana that he does not smoke wee nor sniffs cocaine.
Hiding behind Jake and co to deny that he does not smoke wee and sniff cocaine, will not help Akufo-Addo in any way.
Akufo-Addo; come clean on your wee and cocaine matter or forever know that as far as discerning Ghanaians are concerned, you are addicted to wee and cocaine and come December 7th such discerning Ghanaians will most certainly for Mr. Clean, Professor John Evans Atta Mills, for him to rid the country of the drug menace and build a Better Ghana.
Ghanaians don’t want a junkie for President and that is a fact!
