Who Is This Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa?

I have been following the progress the Mills government is making with a very keen interest and have realised how the humble president has influenced and continue to influence some of the young ministers in his government. I must say that some ministers in the government are really upholding the principle of accountability very high and needs commendation. One of such ministers I admire so much is Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.

I must say that I have been following this deputy minister’s utterances for sometime now and I really do admire his approach to issues. This is a man who put his country first before himself and I pray to God that he will help him to stand very tall among his peers.

I have been informed that Mr Okudzeto is an ‘Odadie ‘ i.e. a student from Presec Legon. I happened to be a student from Legon too and one of our school hymns states that; ‘Great fountains of love, teach us first to love thee, for to love is to serve, our school, NATION and GOD’ I believe this is one of the principles which is helping Mr Ablakwa to succeed in his current role.

I admire the matured way he dealt with the issue between the AMA boss and President Mills, the US Embassy visa refusal to our ministers, the Rawlings and the foot soldiers, the world cup supporter issue etc.

I will be very glad to see Mr Ablakwa confirmed as a minister to run his own ministry in the years ahead. It is hard time we start praising people who have our country at heart. We cannot only dwell on the bad things, let for once shower praises to those who deserved to be praised.
