NPP Must Trash Kofi Jumah Instead Of Begging?

Mon, 15 Nov 2010 Source: Tawiah, Francis

Must NPP entertain primitive uncivilized nonentities like Kofi Jumah?

The answer is CAPITAL NO! He is not civilized and cultivated enough to be a Member of Parliament.

With what reason must THE ASHANTI regional branch of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) go in on behalf of the so-called Hon like Kofi Jumah, who is (very unfortunately) the Asokwa NPP Member of Parliament (MP), rendering an apology to Madam Patricia Appiagyei and women in the country who were offended by the comments made by the MP. I believe the Ashanti NPP is entertaining useless products in their party as well as in the country’s leadership.

I think we have had enough from such primitivisms. Not long ago from Kobby Acheampong with his “Kookooase” nonsense. Do we still have to create more rooms for such uncultured comments?

The so-called Hon Jumah caused a stir on Wednesday when he stated on Fox FM, a Kumasi-based radio station, that Madam Appiagyei 'used' her body (“Fa wo to begye”) to become the Chief Executive of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) in 2004.

This comment has infuriated (and brought chaos to) the public, particularly women in the country, who have vented their spleen at the former deputy minister of Local Government and Rural Development in ex-President Kufuor's regime.

No wonder that electorates in his constituency have even threatened to embark on a demonstration to express their displeasure of the comment and dismissal of their MP, “THE PRIMITIVE KOFI JUMAH”

Where should the Ashanti regional secretariat of the NPP Party see any tangible reason jumping to the rescue of the Asokwa MP, apologizing to Madam Appiagyei in particular, and all women affected by Hon Jumah's comment? People like Jumah and Kobby Acheampong must not be entertained in our community.

KOFI JUMAH MUST THEREFORE BE RESIGNED with immediate effect to serve as a deterrent to others who might try to “over jump their own shadows”.

Mr. Samuel Pyne, the Ashanti regional secretary of the party must not waste his time on such arrogant, primitive and uncultured people like Kofi Jumah & co. who have no respect and use to talk from their stomachs. This is a pure disgrace to the NPP Party and must not be that soft to plead on his behalf but rather stay by facts and take an effective action against Kofi Jumah.

I must opine, Madam Appiagyei and the general public, especially women, must not forgive the so-called Hon Jumah for his displeasing remarks but rather seek his dismissal.

The regional secretary explained that the party did not authorize Hon Jumah to make such derogatory remarks, stressing that the party did not support the MP's comments. If that is true, why then are they covering him with pleading?

If it could be emphasized that judging from the massive support the party had enjoyed from women since it was formed in 1992, there was no way the party could authorize its members to insult women, then clearly there must be a deterrent which will plug some strong warning signals in the minds of most people.

Kofi Jumah must be resigned for the sake of our women and the general public.
