  Yes . Our foolish leaders are learning the wrong lessons from history. If they were wise they would have learnt from the killings of some leaders due to corruption during the JJ regime. Comparing the level of corruption at that time to what we have witnessed during these so called democratic regimes, these victims were angels . If what constituted as corruption during the PNDC period can be applied to what we are witnessing post PNDC , several government officials would have faced the same fate . Not until Ghana make corruption a high price to pay for , our leaders will continue to steal from the public purse unabated.

  Both the invasion of Ukraine AND the encirclement of capitalist Russia are both wrong. But Russia's action is understandable in view of the experience they had with Nazi Germany. Before Hitler invaded any country - including the Soviet Union - it surrounded it! It's an ancient military tactic used by many empires and warring peoples. Thompson (what a fabulous colonial name) has never heard of NATO expansion into former territories that belonged to the Soviet sphere of influence and the last attempt to move into Ukraine so that Russia would be completely sorrounded. He has not heard of the effort Putin made to peacefully resolve the Ukrainian issue with the Minsk accords - which both Macron of France and Angela Merkel of Germany have confessed they signed on in bad faith to buy time for the NATO agenda. He also has not heard of the fascist massacres and complete discrimination ethnic Russians of Ukraine were subjected to, nor the active presence of neo-Nazi groups in Ukraine. He also does not know the real history of his rotten hero Churchill whose wish was to spare Hitler and have Hitler destroy the Soviet Union. Before Thompson goes to bed today, let him just read what Churchill expressed about Africans and people of colour in general. That should put him in his proper place as a pathetic Churchill-worshipper!

  How I wish I could advise both Ukraine and Russia to stop fighting but both countries are serving their own interest and not the interest of any other, and the fuel of this war is enormous and dangerous, and this is the fuel: I am fighting for a legitimate reason: Says Ukraine and Russia. The seriousness of this war is that: Ukraine is right and Russia is equally right. Since these countries are all fighting for a right cause, the headquarters of the World Peace should ask one to compromise for peace to reign. In Africa when such incident occurs, the younger one is asked to submit to the elderly for peace to prevail.

  Secondly, the Americans have a better perception of Slavic history than the British because they have a greater proportion of Slavs of all groups and nations due to it's proportional immigration system - and the greater aggregate of ordinary Slavs have a position consistent with the Russian view.
  
  The Ukrainian leader, backed by Western Europe are on the wrong side of the fence. Why? Because the situation escalated in 2014, long before Russian got involved around 2019/20 when the Ukrainian state unleashed the it's full state security and military power in a full scale attack in the Donesk area of the Dombass region; and together with the West, they called those on the receiving side state killings "Russians" instead of "Russian-Speaking Ukrainians"!
  
  From here on Russian state had no option but to act and declare itself as the ultimate protector in assurance to the entire Russian nation, Russian speaking people in the region and Union and all Slavs that they are safe from state-level genocide (intentional or otherwise).
  
  Russia will win. And Ukraine will lose because it did not (and has no intention) of protecting it's own Russian speaking nationals. The end.
