Ghana isn't the only country affected. The entire world is in China's orbit as we speak. Know this and know peace!

The challenge with most African countries is that we have been brainwashed to believe that one cannot learn maths or science subjects using their vernacular languages. It is strongly believed (even by our own educated professors) that the imposed language does a better job. In most African countries it is taboo to discuss this issue since especially most of our educators received/inherited a colonial education.
If you take a look at all progressive countries, you will notice that everything is taught in their vernacular languages.
For example:
UK - English
US - English
Germany - German
France - French
Japan - Japanese
China - Mandarin
South Korea - Korean
Russia - Russian
India -

Suppose you want something created and you give written instructions/ideas to some scientist from any one of the mentioned countries and you are using a different language, I bet you my last dollar that they will translate your instructions/ideas into their native language before undertaking the task! This is because they think and understand better when using their own languages rather than a second language.

Kindly, give me a list of those in our native Ghana who are credited for creating a written languague in any of our numerous Akan languages , Ewe, Ga, Krobo etc prior to the arrival of Europeans on our shores? Have you even heard of Johannes Gottlieb Cristaller name in our history and what he did for us as a nation? We stupidly rant about the Koreans, Japanese, Chinese etc without rationally accepting the fact that our useless Kings centuries ago were more busy sacrificing innocent humans to their useless river gods on a daily basis than comissioning a few clever people to develop a system of wrtting. In my opinion, only daft people make such simplistic and irrational comparisons. I cannot count to a million in my own Twi Lsnguage. Maybe, you can help me with the Twi version for these basic Scientific words.. Biology, Bacteria, Chromosome, Amoeba, Osmosis, Physics, Chemistry. Me da wo ase paaa!

I can recall, the names of Miss Abutiate, Teacher Agbobada, Teacher Victor, Teacher Agobo etc. None , of them spoke Twi our native tongue, yet they managed to teach us in English without a problem. I mean from primary school. We are stupidly trying to fix something which is not broken. How does the Nzema teacher posted to Paga or Bawku teach the kids in their mother tongue. Ivorians do not whinge constantly about French being the bridge between their numerous languages. On the whole, English as a language has been a force for good globally. South Americans still speak their various languages from Mexico to Chile, yet they all use Spanish as their medium of Education. It works, and, they were colonised too.So, when people talk about our Mother Tongue in Ghana, whose mother tongue are they talking about? Ga is not the mother tongue of an Nzema, Ewe is not the mother tongue of a Dagomba nor that of an Awoin etc

This is because English is the "world" language, but in U.S is no longer the trustworthy ally it used to be and if you take away American trustworthiness China is an okay plan B. Also it is not just China that speaks Mandarin, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, there are even lots of speakers in Vietnam. Mandarin may not be a world language but it is so pretty important language in Asia.
