Just like the US did building highways in the 1950s, I don't see why we can't do that in Ghana. We have a lot of youth looking for gainful employment who can be channeled into this development endeavor.

  I SWEAR on my mother's grave that I was/am/not NDC. In fact, I was a solid NPP, a founder of this body called NPP USA, and sat on the same table as Nana Addo in Alexandria when the aspirants congregated (Hackman, Arthur Kennedy, Boakye Agyarko, Appiah Menka etc etc.
  
  
  
  But you can't compare Mahama's second term with Nana Addo's. Hell No!
  Mahama's "lack" of corruption is what has "freed" the money being used VISIBLY in the Big Push and other projects.
  
  
  Akuffo Addo, who I supported in those days has proven to be worthy of a JJ Bundanase shooting range....(Not that i support that regrettable exercise)....but if any leader has to be tethered and shot, it is NADAA.
  
  Meanwhile, he is prancing about even as his appointees have been found to be vampires of money.
  
  The attorney general Ayine might have gone to a top-notch school in the US with a PhD and all that. But unless Mahama gets the courage to fire or reassign this AG, the so-called Oral will be kaput, and the anti-corruption crusade will collapse.

  There was an even more sad brain drain after the 1966 coup that overthrew Nkrumah. Anyone who had the slightest association with Nkrumah or his government was thrown into jail or faced the threat of persecution. For this reason brilliant academics like R.P. Baffoe, Nana Nketsia Budu-Arthur and others fled the country.
  
  The solution to the perennial ills the author writes about is to get rid of the duopoly that the author terms the binary kleptocracy. We must get rid of both NPP and NDC!

  Infact,the late NPP stalwart Mr. Appiah Minka, was the moderator for the Alexandria Virginia NPP Presidential flag bearer aspirants meeting which included Nana Addo, Hackman Owusu Agyeman, Arthur Kennedy, Boakye Agyarko etc etc..
  In attendance at the meeting also as key organizers were the late Opanyin Kwadwo Adu Gyamfi and his junior brother the late Nana Adu Gyamfi.
  I was also present at the meeting ,off Duke st in Aleaxandria.(near Landmark Mall )
