  We , Ghanaians are the Cause of the Carnage on Ghana Roads . Most of the Vehicles are not Roadworthy. Extremely Dangerous !! The fact that a vehicle starts or moves doesn’t mean that vehicle is roadworthy. Some drivers are alcoholics , drugs or substance abusers, awful mental state of some drivers. TIREDNESS and dosing off behind the wheels. POT HOLES or MAN HOLES on the roads . Poor Maintenance, poor sign postings etc.. and extreme LAWLESSNESS and carelessness.

  My take on the causes of road carnage in Ghana
  1. Bad roads (poorly constructed roads, laced with potholes)
  2. No markings (no median lines nor border lines to help gauge the roads' width)
  3. Inadequate road signs to give directions or signal and alert drivers to dangers ahead
  4. Poor Enforcement of driving rules and regulations, offenders paying their way out instead of getting punished etc
