Flag of the New Patriotic Party, NPP
The future of the New Patriotic Party is being shaped by the work of our committees and structures in the run-up to the 2028 elections. This is a defining moment that will determine whether we come back stronger, more disciplined, and more connected to the people who have stood with the party through every season.
I commend the ongoing rebuilding efforts across the party. After every electoral cycle, the work of renewal is necessary. It requires honesty about where we fell short, humility to listen to our base, and resolve to reorganize with a clear focus on service to Ghana.
For this rebuilding to mean anything, it must be inclusive. The NPP’s strength has always been its people — the market woman in Kumasi, the teacher in Tamale, the trader in London, the student in Accra, the professional in New York. Every party faithful, at home and abroad, deserves a fair stake in the process.
I therefore urge the party leadership and all committees guiding the way forward to:
1. Sustain and deepen the rebuilding agenda with clear structures, timelines, and accountability. Rebuilding cannot be left to slogans; it must be felt at the branch, constituency, and diaspora levels.
2. Ensure equity in participation. Every faithful who has contributed their time, resources, and loyalty should have a voice in shaping the party’s direction. Our diaspora branches and grassroots organizers must be treated as integral, not peripheral, to decision-making.
3. Place unity above division. The task ahead is bigger than any individual or faction. Committees must act as bridges that bring members together around a shared program and a common vision for Ghana’s future.
The NPP has always been the party of ideas, discipline, and development. If we continue rebuilding with fairness and open our doors fully to all faithful across the world, we will present Ghanaians with a party that is credible, united, and ready to lead again.
The work continues, and it belongs to all of us.
