Ricky's response is really timely given Azure's propensity to pounce on Mahama at the least opportunity as though the president is supposed to take instructions from him in running the country. This particular letter as usual is not only very irritating, if not condescending but clearly is reminiscent of his diatribe over the FORD gift saga which he used, seeking to endear himself to the NPP; he went on to campaign for the NPP only to escape to South Africa under that very regime. Please this attention seeking at the expense of the truth must stop. One would have taken Mr Awuni's letter seriously if it was directed to the IGP , not the presidency. Ricky was still wearing his NDC gown when he penned this. You redeveloped a thesis statement for Manesseh and attack the same statement you propose. A reading of Manesseh's post doesn't suggest that.
You figure out that those cases he referred to crumble in court and yet you call that due process. Due process of law doesn't crumble.
Manesseh's proposition is this, the president and/or his political architecture are not oblivious to what is happening and if some of those cases had succeeded in the courts, there would have been no case for alarm. That those cases fail means the bail conditions are only weaponised to punish political dissent more especially when the same utterances were said by the same actors who cry victims today and were spared or at best were taken through civil routes for defamation even when a lot of them were men of straw.
