At the risk of sounding parochially ethnocentric, and even crassly anti-Ewe, I still feel compelled to observe this glaringly and brazenly pathological “NDC-Ewe Obsession” with the character and personality of the Presidential Candidate of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Actually, it is not just an obsession with the character and personality of Ghana’s former Justice Minister, but a seemingly incurable NDC-Ewe penchant for the abject distortion and assassination of the personhood and personality of the brilliant architect of the Repeal of the Criminal Libel Code, which has enabled the latest craze in this Ewe pathology, personified by the poor excuse of a man whose last- or surname sounds more like an exiled, disoriented Togolese political refugee in search of his bearings and presence of mind, than a bona fide Ghanaian-born Ewe native.
And I bet my proverbial “bottom dollar” that this vermin by the name of Michael Trokosi (ouch!) Dokosi would not presume for a split-second to so lightly impugn the character and reputation of the legatee-president of his native country, Mr. Faure Gnassingbe. You see, the Togolese security and law-enforcement operatives know how to bite off the decidedly unsightly trapezoid head of oil-palm tree worms like Mr. Dokosi.
Anyway, unfortunately for this so-called editor of a high school newspaper called the Daily Post, the NPP has more than a match for him in the majestic personality of Ms. Frances Assiam. For, needless to say, Sister Frances knows turd-raking grubs like Mr. Dokosi far more than these SOBs know themselves, because our proud and savvy sister has trucked with these scatological worms for quite a remarkable while and did not like the weed-smoking likes of the Rawlings posse one bit! Indeed, that was largely why these psychological basket-cases and hate-mongers hired some mangy thugs to cowardly assault our proud and pretty sister not quite awhile back.
Well, I don’t know the last time that Mr. Dokosi left the shores of his adopted country for any Western nation, particularly the United States, or even whether, in fact, he has ever been to the United States, but it is the height of abject stupidity for this rotten-toothed bastard to presume to facilely impugn the integrity of the civil and diligent and dedicated American customs officials who tirelessly work around the clock to ensure that incurable troglodytes like Mr. Dokosi do not enter the territorial space of this proud nation of brave warriors with his Akpeteshie-reeking breath and the same weed-singed gnarled fingers with which Mr. “Trokosi” Dokosi abortively attempted to insert a packet of contraband into Nana Akufo-Addo’s luggage at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) some six years ago. And for those of our readers who may not know it, this epic criminal failure is what has been giving Mr. Dokosi the kind of clinical seizures that the Ghanaian public has been witnessing in recent weeks; in fact, legend has it that this lost Togolese soul even attempted to sneak a dead cat into Nana Akufo-Addo’s luggage. But, of course, we had already anticipated such criminal mischief from our former cocoa-farm laborer and so quickly headed it off.
Also, his abject stupidity may have blinded him to this fact, which is that once he succeeds in miring himself in an inextricable legal battle with Nana Akufo-Addo, Mr. “Trokosi” Dokosi would also have to provide forensic evidence corroborating his scandalous allegation about U. S. Customs officials at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport having taken a bribe from a weed-toting Nana Akufo-Addo in order to enable the former Foreign Minister to flood the United States with narcotic drugs. Maybe we need to also remind the so-called editor of the Daily Post that the United States still maintains both an embassy and a consulate in Accra, and that its personnel are not apt to sit duck for long while simpering fools and clinical idiots like Mr. “Trokosi” Dokosi rain abuse and words of provocation at hardworking and decent U. S. customs officials.
Needless to say, the onus of proof of whether, indeed, Nana Akufo-Addo is a weed addict rests on his accusers, contrary to what one politically addled “Michael” would have his readers believe. And Mr. “Trokosi” Dokosi had better take up the challenge of Ms. Assiam, by providing whatever evidence he has linking Nana Akufo-Addo to drugs, or end up putting his own personal security at risk. For there are limits to what Akufo-Addo partisans are willing to tolerate in the name of protected speech.
It is also quite interesting that these pathological anti-Akufo-Addo Ewe mudslingers often sport the first name of “Michael.” One even claims the inviolable right to gratuitously tag the NPP flagbearer with drug-abuse accusation, simply because such vacuous allegations are “already in the public domain.”
Then again, who decides the hallmarks of a presidential candidate? An insolent Akpeteshie-stinking number-nine refugee like Mr. “Trokosi” Dokosi, or the Fourth-Republican Constitution of Ghana (minus the Indemnity Clause, of course)?
It goes without saying that there are Ewes of enviable repute and diligence, like the rest of us bona fide human Ghanaian citizens; and then there are all those other mutants like Mr. “Trokosi” Dokosi. Interestingly, though, almost all of these well-meaning Ghanaians belong to the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
