He is heavily condemned, criticized and challenged to make a public declaration on his stance on the orders to African countries that are not compromising their cherished cultural values for the so called rights for same sex partners but he has padlocked his onetime restless tongue rather strangely. He has abandoned the calls from the very people he is seeking to lead and is now dinning comfortably with their enemy. Many would not understand but our quest to unravel the mystery surrounding this strange behaviour of a man who thought he is big-minded has exposed him as a beggar who can compromise the pride of his people for power. Be clearly told that the flag bearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, will not in anyway state his position on the issue of homosexuality and lesbians rights currently set blazing in the country by the gays rights activist, British Prime Minister, Mr. David Cameron, a close associate to the flagbearer has disclosed. According to his close pal who does not want to be identified, Akufo-Addo is fighting to remain in the good books of the Prime Minister and other gays and lesbians groups across the world to attract some financial support to campaign against President Mills in the 20012 elections. He noted that this has informed his (Akufo-Addo) refusal to join the good people of Ghana in publicly condemning the ungodly comment from the British government adding “Akufo-Addo, who think himself a liberalist will want to maintain the NPP connection with the Conservative Party of Britain”. A section of the public has described Addo’s deafening silence on the issue which has elicited a massive public outcry, adding that one would have thought Nana Addo would be the first to comment on gay rights since he has been very vocal on virtually every topical issue in the country. What is baffling is that it was the same Nana Addo, who in the heat of the Ivorian crisis hurriedly held a press conference, and directed President Mills to dispatch the Ghana Armed Forces to fight Ivoirian soldiers and install Alassane D. Ouattara as the legitimate President of Cote D’Ivoire. His close pal disclosed that his silence is also strategic so as to attract cash from Gays and Lesbians Rights groups in the United Kingdom and the United States of America, to fund his cash-strapped party. Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor recently took a swipe at Professor Fred Sai, the man who once served him as the Chairman to the Ghana Aids Commission and HIV/AIDS’ adviser, during his tenure as president.
Mr. Kufuor expressed his disgust in an interview with Hot Fm – kicking against the favouring-view of his former HIV/AIDS’ adviser on the question of legalization of homosexuality in Ghana. Asked whether he associates himself with comments that homosexuality should be encouraged like, Professor Sai has publicly declared and even called for it to be legalized, ex-President Kufuor vehemently denounced the practice, saying it is an abomination. According to the former President, he abhors the practice, since it hinders procreation, questioning the reason behind same sex promotion. “With all the attractive women around, why would I go in for my fellow man as my sex-partner?” he questioned. ”God created men and women to mate and procreate, and it is through that we all existed, so same sex practice will end reproduction”, he ascribed, impugning that the practice is un-Godly and would derail reproduction. President Mills, on Wednesday, officially responded to threats by UK's Prime Minister David Cameron saying, "Ghana would not accept any aid that has homosexuality strings attached to it." He stated quite emphatically that Ghana under his governance was nowhere near the legalization of homosexuality. His pronouncement has been lauded by many in the country with the believe that had Nana Addo added his voice in open condemnation of the UK’s anti-gay aid threat, it would have sent out the clearest of messages to the international community that the whole country was united against the practice. Instead, Nana Akufo-Addo is currently dinning with David Cameron in the United Kingdom in the name of a Conference of Conservative Parties betraying his national calls to response to the PM. The 2011 International Democrats Union (IDU) Party Leaders Meeting will be held in London on 10 and 11 November, 2011, hosted by Prime Minister David Cameron and the British Conservative Party.
Nana Akufo-Addo, the war drummer will controversially speak on: “Strengthening Freedom and Democracy in the 21st Century” and will also participate in Plenary sessions of the IDU Party leaders and the IDU Executive Committee as well as meetings of the Asia-Pacific Democrat Union, the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs to be Chaired by the Hon David Lidington and the IDU Regional Unions. source: The Crystal Clear Lens
