Re: World coming to an end Friday-Ghana Prophet

Fri, 11 Nov 2011 Source: Badu, K.

This article seeks to expound on the intricacies of the “Men of God” and their antipathetic interpretations of the Holy Book-Bible. In my view, it is inconsequential on the part of individuals who are seeking to enter the “Kingdom of God” to veer from what the Bible really teaches, and instead following the “Blind men” who will only lull them further into the “wilderness”. In my view, it is sheer slothfulness on the part of Christians, many of whom pin all their hopes on the so-called ‘Men of God’, instead of sticking to the Bible - the guideline for Christians.

The preceding exegesis has perceptible likeness to anybody wanting to become a medical doctor for instance; the individual has to stick to medical books; likewise, an aspiring lawyer sticks to law books. So, if anyone wants to become a true Christian, the individual must stick to the Bible, and refrain from the over reliance on the so-called ‘men of God’!

According to City FM news print of Thursday 10 November 2011; “A man of God has predicted the world will come to an end on Friday -- also known as 11/11/11.” “The Founder of Makara Church, located near the Ghana Trade Fair site, Prophet Peter Anamoh, who describes himself as a “prophet to the nations”, claimed the destruction will first start from the coastal areas of the country, and then proceed to the rest of the world.”

“According to reports, Prophet Anamoh has convinced a large number of his congregation to migrate into a village about an hour’s drive from Bolgatanga, where he claims will not be destroyed with the rest of the world”. “Speaking to City News, Prophet Anamoh said, it was revealed to him by God that mankind will pay for sins committed over the years through rapture which will occur on the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the year 2011 [11/11/2011]”. “He added that ‘his’, is not a falls prophecy”. “The day is Friday, you people will look for me and it will be too late. Even tonight let’s see what will happen,” Anamoh claimed.

Indubitably, false prophets are at work today, as the Bible makes us to understand. For example, if we look at Jer 14:14: “Then the LORD said unto me, the prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.” Jeremiah 14:15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed. Jer 14:16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

Again, it is written, “but the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die”(Deu 18:20). And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? (Deu 18:21). When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him (Deu 18:22). “I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evil- doers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah (Jer 23:14).

The fact of the matter is the so-called men of God are motivated by money and nothing else! We can verify this assertion from Micah 3:9 [NIV] “Hear this, you leaders of the house of Jacob, you rulers of the house of Israel, who despise justice and distort all that is right”; Micah 3:10 [NIV] who build Zion with bloodshed, and Jerusalem with wickedness. Micah 3:11 [NIV] Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests teach for a price, and her prophets tell fortunes for money. Yet they lean upon the LORD and say, "Is not the LORD among us? No disaster will come upon us." Micah 3:12 [NIV] Therefore because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, the temple hill a mound overgrown with thickets. Jer 6:13 For from the least of them even unto the greatest of them every one is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely. Jer 6:14 They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace; when there is no peace. Jer 6:15 Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD. Ezek 22:25 There is a conspiracy of her prophets in the midst thereof, like a roaring lion ravening the prey; they have devoured souls; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof. Ezek 22:26 Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they showed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them. Ezek 22:27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain. Ezek 22:28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken.

I would like to remind the truth seekers once again to exercise circumspection in their attempts to find the truth. The prudent line of action is to find the truth in the Bible yourselves and avoid depending on charlatans.
