CPP for Doom

Tue, 15 Nov 2011 Source: Safo, Emmanuel

Perfection resides in quality and not quantity and we the members of KNUST

TESCHART have come to realize that the Convention People's Party which was

built, supported and propagated by the youth of this great Nation is on the

verge of collapsing and being scrapped off from the archives of the

political cubicles in Ghana.

It has come to us as a matter of urgency not only to protect and

prevent this great party of ours from collapsing but also consciously and

diligently guide our political future.

The CPP has relented on the principles of building and keeping a vibrant

youth wing. Several proposals have falling on deaf ears and we are not

prepared even for a minute to sit and watch this happen.

Our own research has proven that over 50% of the Ghanaian youth are Pro

Nkrumaist but because of the lack of tact, diplomacy and ineptitude toward

working for power, has perpetually left us always reeling backwards

descending into the gullies of hopelessness in direct contrast with the

motto of the party "FORWARD EVER BACKWARD NEVER"

We in KNUST are still young and vibrant and would not like to be part of a

neo-political tradition that is not working towards wrestling power from

her opponents but seems to be content with opposition. While other

political parties are hunting for youth to be part of them, the CPP is

discouraging them by the adamant attitudes exhibited by some high profiled

members. We demand to know whether we are victims of any circumstance by

being members of TESCHART and the CPP as a whole?

We don't want to believe that those conspiracy theories in the inner

circles are true in an attempt to shatter the political dreams of some

people and even if they are, we demand that they are consciously diagnosed

and treated. We in KNUST hereby wish to remind the ‘National Leadership’

that CPP is by the youth and for the youth. We therefore request an

immediate attention to be drawn towards the following:

1. Immediate inauguration of TESCHARTs Ashanti region.

2. The drawing of a clearly defined time schedule for the activities of

the party in the run up to congress.

3. The opening and filling of nominations by presidential aspirants and

finally

4. Organising a youth congress as a means of strengthening the youths

commitment.

Anything short of these, we TESCHART KNUST will advice ourselves.

LONG LIVE TESCHART

LONG LIVE CPP

LONG LIVE GHANA.
