When Tragedy Hits Home

Mon, 4 Jun 2012 Source: Schandorf, Sidney Laud

A poem to those affected by the plane crash

We can tell your pain

Through this happening without gain

How can tragedy strike again?

Leaving indescribable pain?

When your loved ones bade you farewell

You knew all things would go well

So far as you could tell

Little did you know t'was a final farewell

Tragedy!!! Oh, you have been struck!

You're out of luck

Your loved ones aren't coming back

Your whole world's been taken aback

Petrified of the "trotro"

Aghast at the aeroplane

Which caused such horrid pain.

Why did it your loved ones steal?

You are hurting, when will you heal?

How do you with this deal?

Your pain beginning to unpeel

Death has delivered the deadly seal.

An orphan has been made

A widow now glued to her maid

A husband to his bed unmade

Children frazzled, fazed and unmade.

Who can tell your sorrow?

Loved ones not returning tomorrow

Joy, you're unable to borrow

Pain in your heart a deadly arrow

Where can you turn?

Your world in a turn?

Selah.

We know not what to say

That'll make it all go away

Something that will make you feel okay

Feel better; other than this way.

We wish we had all the answers

That'll answer every question

So you'll live without question

We have no answers

Save that God knows

We can only promise to be a shoulder to lean on

One to cry on; on and on

We promise to pray with you

To stay with you; to be there for you

Time will surely heal

We will walk with you

Doing as we can

Going on; you think you can't

By God, it isn't the end

God is with you and He will bring you to an expected end.

Hope, we pray thee hope!!

It's the only way you can cope

There is a God of all hope

Even this is not outside His scope

Look forward with fervent hope

Loved ones are in His blessed home.

It shall be well.

Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for youare with me. Your rod and staff comfort me. Psalm 23:4

Please spend a moment to pray for those affected by tragedy especially those affected byyesterday's plane crash in Ghana. Be a comforter and support too.
