Oh!!!, 'OMO' Ghana, another Christmas and another NDC elected President has come up with an excuse to run away to another country under a suspicious circumstances that we have not been properly briefed about. Is President Mahama on vacation or what? What is the meaning of a private visit? Mahama's high tailing to South Africa bring back sad memories of last year Christmas when President Mills ran to USA to 'conduct' business meetings with American businessmen who 'suspended their christmas vacations' to sign 'trillion' dollars contract with 'economic power' of Africa, GHANA. WE DID FINALLY LEARN THE SAID BUSINESS TRIP WAS NOT A BUSINESS TRIP AFTER ALL BUT A MEDICAL EMERGENCY THAT FINALLY CLAIMED THE LIFE OF PRESIDENT MILLS.
What is the real reason for President Mahama's sudden trip to South Africa? There have been many speculations as to why President Mahama loaded the Presidential plane with all his children(How big is the Presiden's plane?)Did he really go to South Africa with all his children or the ones in Accra? Seriously, the President is said to have gone to South Africa with most of his children and brothers to South Africa to seek medical care. Why did he go to South Africa with most of his children and brothers to South Africa? Is it true that he went to South Africa for kidney transplant? Why take all these children of yours and your brothers to South Africa if not to find out which one of them can donate a kidney that will be a perfect march? Hey, don't blame me for creating this story, I am just a messenger. I don't want to see President Mahama sick or wish for anything bad for him. I will rather want to see him healthy as a young man and retired from politics prematurely with total political annihilation.
One thing I don't want to wish on my political opponents is sickness or death because that is below my dignity but I don't understand why Presidents in Africa always hide their sickness. You don't see this kind of high handedness about the health of leaders in Western world. Even the Communist and Socialist countries come clean about the health status of their leaders when they are sick. What is really wrong if President Mahama is sick? Is he not a human being? Why do these people act like they are robots and cannot get sick? We all do get sick and I don't see anything wrong if President Mahama is going to get a yearly health check up which we should all do especially when you are above the age of forty(40). What is wrong is when these "LALASULALA" praise singers start coming up with ridiculous reasons why President Mahama went to South Africa and Bature and his rented paper, Al-Hajj took the cake when he wrote that President Mahama was chased out of the country because people were pressuring him for political appointments.
If President Mahama ran to South Africa just to avoid an issue of political appointments, then we might have made a huge mistake. A President who take to his heels because he can't deal with problems? What kind of a leader is that? This is not even a problem but an opportunity for him to act Presidential by issuing not even a public admonishment but a private message through his party communication system to those people to stop that unofficial fighting for positions. If Mahama is running away from such a mundane issue like appointing people to help him run the country, what will he do if he hears that GOD FORBID Ivory Coast is preparing to attack Ghana? I guess South Africa will not be good enough for him but down under Australia might be his destination then.
I know Mahama is not a coward and will not run away from that nonsense. I remember during 2008 when President Mills was trying to find a running mate and Rawlings was butting his head in that matter. It was reported that, Rawlings went to Mahama's house at Cantoments without informing Mahama that he was coming over and Maham telling his gateman not to open the door for Rawlings. Rawlings went there and knocked on Mahama's gate but he was not allowed in President Mahama's house and that was when Rawlings developed animosity towards Mahama This was in 2008 before he was even selected as Mills running mate when Rawlings was powerful and relevant unlike now when Rawlings is a mere shadow of himself politically and not relevant in the big scheme of things.
What then is the reall reason Mahama went to South Africa after failing to turn up at the NDC victory rally in Accra? Is it true that he fainted and was rushed to South Africa the following day? Mahama is looking older than his 54 years with all his hair having turned white and puffy face. If he is sick, he should seek medical care. Maybe it is easier for me to say because I did not tell Ghanaians that 'I was born after Ghana attained independence,a young stud and strong like a horse'.
Now the question is, what did Paa Kwesi Nduom know and when did he know it? Why was Paa Kwesi Nduom insisting all the Presidential candidates should go for medical check ups and make their health status public? Did he know something about one of the Presidential candidates as having a health problem?
I guess President Mahama can put this issue behind him and shame those talking about his health by jogging from Kotoka International Airport in his famous 'BATAKARI'(Smock)to his residence at Cantonments. I know a young man like President Mahama can do this easily if President Mills could jog in a suit and loafers at Kotoka at age 68. Can President Mahama do this to shame the devil?
