Stability Or Crises, My Open Letter To The Leadership Of The NPP

Hon. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo

The Leader

New Patriotic Party (NPP)

Ghana

Dear Sir/Madam,

If there will be economic or political stability in Ghana, it will all depend on us the citizens of Ghana. We take huge risks of destabilising our economy and its democracy, should we continue the processes of suing the President (Government) at court. Why not start preparing for an excellent election 2016, if there are reasons to justify that there were irregularities in the process and conduct of the election on December 7.

As the chairman of the African Union of Ostfriesland in Germany, I send my warmest salutations and hereby appeal to the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to accept the verdict of 2012 General Elections by recognizing His Excellency John Dramani Mahama as President Elect.

I would have wished you withdrew your processes of suing the President (Government) of Ghana in the Supreme Court and provide the needed support necessary in the economic, educational, political and social development of Africa through the contributions you have made and should still do in Ghana.

Africa needs Leadership and Ghana has the best possibilities to sustain the exemplary position on the continent. Africa and the world have their hopes on Ghana. I know you have the children and people of Ghana at heart and it must reflect in your actions if you indeed believe in their future.

Honourable Leaders of the NPP, the current situation and tension are not good in all sense for our motherland Ghana. Today in most parts of Africa, political differences have resulted in wars which have caused the death of many innocent lives, whiles others flee to live as refugees in other countries. As I write, women and children are still suffering from hunger, diseases, poverty and other inhumane abuses such as rape, child soldiers, etc; all in the name of politics.

I refuse to believe that you don’t care. It is therefore my request, that you accept the verdict as it stands, if not for anything, but for the many you hope to govern. Let’s give peace a chance and wait for the next election 2016. As long as there is life, there is hope.

It is my hope that, this letter meets your kind consideration. One Ghana, One Nation, One Destiny.

With best regards

Thank you

Sincerely yours,

(SIGNED)
