I wonder what type of President Ghana has in John Mahama. He ceases not to tickle me by his absolute ignorance at the presidency. How he underestimates the seriousness of the electoral fraud case pending in the Supreme Court against him leaves me with mouth agape, wondering if he thinks his propaganda machine set in motion can save him. ? My august readers will recall that not long ago, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan and President Mahama as respondents to the electoral fraud case filed against them by Nana Akuffo-Addo and Co., requested for "further details and better particulars" from the petitioners. They asked to know the polling stations names and their electoral registration numbers to be able to respond appropriately to the allegation of committal of electoral irregularities and fraud against them. ? Two weeks after being furnished with the details and particulars as requested upon interrogatory petition filed with the Supreme Court, John Mahama comes out to say the evidence contained in the particulars is not credible enough. He is subsequently praying the Supreme Court to dismiss the petition Nana Akuffo-Addo, Dr. Bawumia and Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey have jointly filed against him and the Electoral Commission. ? I do not blame him as his assertion is one of the permissible legal opportunities he can abusively avail himself of without being arrested. He is playing with fire. If he knew the potential dangers inherent in ferocious fire, he would think twice before he opens his "chattering box" to make declarations anyhow.
Does President Mahama realise the song, "When I remember, my mother used to tell me not to play with fire! Fire will burn you x 3" ? If truly he has not been taken aback by the sheer volume and credibility of the evidence so provided, every Tom, Dick and Harry in the NDC would long have come out chirping the evidence was nothing other than the figment of the NPP's imagination. Such a claim would have been made on the airwaves and in the print and electronic media a day or two after releasing them to John Mahama and Kwadwo Afari-Gyan.
The overwhelming credibility of the evidence has scared John Mahama, Kwadwo Afari-Gyan and the NDC folks from making any noise except the recent skirmishes by Asiedu Nketiah, John Mahama and their rented writer HE/SHE Koku Anyidohu, alias Margaret Jackson. I hope Koku will get free and abundant supply of sanitary pad he requested for himself under the pretence it was for his niece if she was attending Free Senior High School and happened to be on her painful period. ? President Mahama should get serious and stop his childish play. He should not think the case is something he can blow away with a whiff. He will live to regret from conniving to accept to ride on a "stolen horse", thus, becoming the president of Ghana on stolen electoral verdict. ? There are things I do not want to discuss here as they will form the topical bases for my subsequent write-ups.
