  OUR COLONIAL MASTERS QUICKLY SPOTTED THESE GAPING WEAKNESSES, CORRUPTION AND TRIBAL BIGOTRY AMONG GHANAIANS, AND THEY EXPLOITED THEM TO THE MAX BY USING THEIR "DIVIDE AND RULE" STRATEGY TO PERPETUATE THEIR HOLD ON POWER TO LOOT OUR NATURAL RESOURCES WHILE SELLING POOR GHANAIANS INTO SLAVERY, OF COURSE WITH THE CONNIVANCE OF GHANA'S CHIEFS.
  
  THIS PRACTICE HAS ASSUMED A 21ST CENTURY DIMENSION, WITH GHANA'S "LEADERSHIP" USING THE SAME TACTICS OF TRIBAL BIGOTRY TO DIVIDE AND RULE GHANAIANS.
  
  THIS HAS LARGELY PERPETUATED GHANA'S LEADERSHIP'S HOLD ON POWER WHILE THEY CONTINUE TO USE CONSTITUTIONAL CLAUSES AND OTHER MEANS TO LOOT OUR COUNTRY WITH IMPUNITY.
  
  WHERE ARE BETTY MOULD-IDDRISU, WOYOME, KWABENA DUFFUOR, AMISSAH-ARTHUR?
  
  THESE "JUDGMENT DEBTS" GUYS ARE STILL WALKING FREE, FLAUNTING THEIR POMPOSITY AND LOOTED WEALTH AS IF NOTHING HAS HAPPENED.
  
  THESE CONSTITUTIONAL CLAUSES ARE, AMONG MANY OTHERS, THE ECONOMICALLY STIFLING SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES PAID TO ARTICLE "WHATEVER" OFFICE HOLDERS.

  The political gangsterism, lawlessness and chaos will go on for a while longer and then when they cannot take it any longer, the people will rise spontaneously. It is inevitable because people cannot live in these lawless corrupt, inefficient conditions imposed on them by their own African leaders throughout the continent. Multiparty democracy is unworkable in Africa. Africa needs strong institutions run by uncompromising strong men or women. We need order and the rule of law. A change is coming.

  When a president of a country that is known for its aggressiveness, disregard for international norms and disrespect for institutions tell you that you do not need a strong people, but strong institutions, then you ask yourself is it not only a strong person who can extra-judiciary murder the president of another country and not answer for it.
  Strong institutions are build and nature by strong people thus institutions in the United States of America were build and nature by strong people. People who are so strong in the pursuit of property and riches that mostly forget about what is meant by the respect of the dignity of another person and nations.
  My travel around the world in the 1970s and 1980s depicted a culture of the poor in all communities in the capitalist countries left in the filth. It will interest you that the filth in which we live now is also part and parcel of the conditions that the Breton Wood Institutions lay down before they granted us loans. We were forced to leave sanitation to the private sector which can make money out of it. That private sector was unable to keep sanity in the poor neighbourhoods of London, New York, Tokyo and other capitalist countries as opposed to the sanitary condition in Havana, Pejin, Pyongyang and as cleanliness was next to socialism in the then Eastern European socialist countries. I first came across filth in in Eastern Europe in Solidarity Poland.

  You better grow up. Problems of sanitation and development have to be addressed. Yes, but do you need the president of the United States to tell Ghanaians what to do? Is Ghana an extension of the US? You better stop this childish behaviour and offer balanced and objective suggestions to our problems. Also avoid the unnecessary cheap and silly headings which do not accurately reflect the true state of the whole nation!

  Nana, I am being fair, objective but critical as we all should be. It is dangerous for people to generalise in the way the author has done,and to create the impression he is creating.
  
  I believe in constructive criticism. My big question with regards not only to Ghana but most of Africa (and indeed many developing countries of the Commonwealth) is this: Why in the 21st Century do we still have open drains when they are a recipe for mosquitoes and malaria? How much thought and effort are we putting into doing what Mexico city has done, invest billions of dollars into an underground drainage system that has improved the city tremendously. What do the Americans and others advicve us? Use "impregnated mosquito nets to prevent malaria"! So why should we learn anything from them when we can use our own commonsense to find yes, 'commonsense solutions' to our problems.
  
  If the writer wishes to contribute to the debate about improving our system then he should do so properly rather than 'casting a slur' on our country. I wonder how long he has been away from Ghana! I also take issue with Africans who migrate to the US and somehow suddenly see everything about their country of origin so bad, their utterances make you wonder if they were ever from some of those very communities they have a problem with.

  Good one there, God richly bless you for this good observation. The question is, what makes overseas(abroad) nicer than most African countries? Is it the skin differences or what ? The answer is Discipline, Cleaniness and street lights. Looking at things critically, one would see that, white men regardless of religous background, behave in certain way. Black men rather behave like trained animals. On which part of this world would you see whiteman going to toilet in public areas like market centres or sitting along drainages as we see in most of the African countries. Is it not animals who do that any time they feel doing, so you understand why blacks behave like animals.
