"Some readers may consider me as a staunch critic of or anti Nana Akufo Addo and other Ghanaian politicians such as the late Mills and President Mahama. Others even claim that I hate him or them but as far as I am concerned, I am an objective critic of those who seek or are in leadership and not a fundamentalist who will support or oppose a leader whatever the situation, let alone hate them and that is why my views on this case should not surprise many."
You really love yourself and think highly of yourself. People on ghanaweb judge you by the opinions you express and how you express them. You don't have to tell them what you think you are. The perceptive ones judge that themselves and don't just take your word for it. You are not the best judge of yourself.

During the PNDC days, one of Kwame Pianim’s Attorneys who defended him at is treason trial was from the UK and qualified in the UK so he could not represent him on his arrival in Ghana. His call to the Ghana Bar was fast tracked to enable him represent Pianim at the Public Tribunal. I remember the Chairman of the Public Tribunal making a public comment that whilst Ghanaians had to go through a lengthy process to be called to the Bar before they could practise, a foreigner was fast tracked within hours. It is possible that this UK Attorney was called to the Bar alone and Nana Akufo Addo may not have been the first and only Attorney to have been called to the Bar alone in Ghana. I say this because, information available on the internet says Nana Akufo Addo’s read Law in the UK and was called to the English Bar (Middle Temple) in July 1971. If this is accurate, it was feasible that his call to the Ghana Bar was fast tracked to enable him represent a client on his arrival in Ghana from England. Mr Kofi Ata the defense researcher for Akufo Addo,Why not find out also from the Ghana Legal council if he was properly called or fast tracked. Kindly go back to Akufo addo' CV and see if the date qouted make sense.

The issue is who did the 'fast tracking' or who gave him the recognition by including his name on the list of roll of lawyers for that year? If it was not the Ghana legal council or the rightful authority then he's in a huge trouble. My Good friend Kofi Atta is worried about Ghana's international image in this. The President has been sued for spurious reason that is more or a less a phantom. He's being called all kinds of names from it but Ghana's image is intact and the former issue isn't going to change that.

Kofi Ata is misinformed. It is clear that he is neither a lawyer nor a quick thinking person. By law, if you change your name or names, you should go through a formal procedure and notify the relevant authorities as soon as possible. By law if your law school certificates have another name on them, then you can be challenged. The problem is that Mr. William A.D.Akufo-Addo spent one year at Oxford - studying what and why was the study truncated?
Well, guess what? William did not have a middle name Nana at all any where. So at what point did he adopt Nana and drop William, which appears to be the case.
Frankly, Nana should stop pussy-footing round this subject and publish his certificates and the requisite documents with immediate effect. He is time wasting. His PR team could do that for him.

BELOW IS THE FULL STORY COURTESY OF MODERNGHANA.COM
NPP flagbearer in the 2012 general elections, Nana Akufo-Addo has been dragged to an Accra High Court accused of impersonation. Former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Francis Kpegah is suing the NPP flagbearer for holding himself out as a lawyer when evidence available to him from sources such as the General Legal Council proves otherwise. The writ filed on March 18, 2013 also indicted former President Kufuor for appointing Nana Akufo-Addo as Attorney General who doubled as the leader of the Ghana Bar Association.
In his statement of claim, Justice Kpegah said he became suspicious of Nana Akufo-Addo because his name was not on the roll of lawyers in Ghana and yet he was being given audience in the courts.
He further stated that when he caused a discreet investigation to be conducted, it was revealed that Nana Akufo-Addo was never called to the Ghana Bar but “rather one W.E.D Akufo-Addo who was called to the middle temple in the United Kingdom on the 22nd of July, 1971 and on the roll of lawyers in Ghana as No.1190. Justice Kpegah claimed it was illegal when former President Kufuor appointed Nana Akufo-Addo as the Attorney General because in his view he was not a “lawyer in good standing.” According to him “Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is impersonating W.A.D Akufo Addo who is on the roll of lawyers as No. 1190.
“The plaintiff finally avers that there is no lawyer in Ghana worth his salt who can say that you are called to the English Bar you can automatically practice in Ghana without being called to the Ghana Bar,” Justice Kpegah stated in his writ.
The plaintiff is therefore seeking seven reliefs from the court including: “A declaration that on a true and proper interpretation of the General Legal Council Act, Act 38 of 1960 (as amended) unless a person is called to the Bar in Ghana and his name entered in the Roll of Lawyers by the body mandated under the said Act 38 (as amended) to regulate the training and certification of persons after a prescribed course of study, that person cannot be deemed competent to practice law in any court of Ghana.” He is also asking the court to declare that Nana Akufo is not entitled to practice law in Ghana. A declaration that the Law Firm established as Akufo-Addo, Prempeh and Co. at 67 Kojo Thompson Road, Adabraka, Accra is an illegal law firm and therefore not competent to represent any party in litigation before any court in Ghana.
He also prayed to the court that “A perpetual injunction restraining the said Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo from holding himself out as a lawyer competent to practise in the Ghanaian courts or anybody regards him as such.” Justice Kpegah further asked the court to close down the Akufo-Addo, Prempeh and Co law firm.
SO, WE HAVE WILLIAM ADDO DANQUAH AKUFO-ADDO (W.A.D.AKUFO-ADDO) AND A FELLOW BY THE NAME OF WILLIAM EDWARD DANQUAH AKUFO-ADDO (W.E.D AKUFO-ADDO) BY WHICH JUSTICE KPEGAH IS PENNING HIS SUING WRIT BEFORE THE COURT. ACCORDING TO HIM, THERE IS MR. (A) AND ANOTHER MR. (E) SHARING ONE BUT THE SAME IMPOSSIBLE LAW CERTIFICATE.

I think Bro. Kofi Atta's explanations in this conversation makes a lot of sense. However, anytime he attempts to post his views, esp. on this character assassination plot by NDC leaders, judges and scouts, he's met with insults and all kinds of accusations.
This is what is becoming of Ghana, at least ever since we've had the so-called "Revolution" that supposedly sought to right all the wrongs in Ghana. It is clear that some Ghanaians still harbour the notion that certain people, esp. those from the Akan lineage have dominated almost every sector of Ghana---social, economy and politics---and it was time to call for equallity or balance.
While the targeted tribes people and property and businesses belonging to these perceived "dominaing elite" were being confiscated, many of them fled the country. The brave ones like late Prof. Adu Boahen and Nana Akufo-Addo, who remained to fight and challenge the ideals of the wicked govt and its surrogates and allied groups and committees, such as PWCs and PDCs, became instant enemies: "enemies of the revolution."
Nana had led the "Kume Preko" demonstration. Since then, the AFRC/P-NDC group has been doing everything in their power, to denigrate the Nobleman and an astute lawyer including everyone who's a friend or his associate.
In their quest to destroy the shrewd attorney, they've cooked up strange and horrible stories about him. But Nana Akufo-Addo has kept his cool; he's not bothering so much about all the nonesense being said about him.
Nana Akufo-Addo has great vision to lead Ghana and make our nation great and strong once more. He and his vice, Dr. Bawumia are poised to lead Ghana unto paths of great progress and prosperity for all Ghanaians and Africa. However, the NDC, their leaders and followers believe the have the power to stop Nana from becoming president.
Helped by EC's boss, Dr. Kwadjo Afari-Gyan, they have attempted to foist their will on Ghanaians, by rigging the December elections. Nana Akufo-Addo & Co, has filed a writ at the Supreme Court to challenge the election fraud that took place. After making all sorts of funny statements about Nana and the NPP, now the NDC is beginning to feel the heat, hence their resort to making loose and outrageious comments and allegations against the annointed one. The NDC won't bring themselves to accept the fact that if God has not ordained you to president, you can only achieve that status by stealing and cheating in elections.
Ghanaians have now understood the wisdom in Nana Akufo-Addo, Bawumia and Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey's resolve to seek justice at the hight court in the land.
Now Ghanaians began to see what went on behind the scenes; NDC trying to collect signatures for pink sheets; NDC trying to re-register more voters 3 months after the elections; NDC trying assassination plot on NPP leaders (if indeed it's true); NDC attempting to destroy evidence by tourching Offices of EC's IT department (if that turns out to be true) and many strange moves.
Let's all wait for the "judgement day" when the Supreme Court Justices would give the final verdict. Until then, things continue to fall apart, as said by late Nigerian Scholar and Writer, Chinua Achebe in his books.
The NDC's dubuious ways to divert attention from truth by insults and wicked plot won't help them. That's the message that they should take notice of.

CPP or NDC and their children are such a sad miserable lot, whose prowess of intellectualism is misplaced and useless to their own people and society.
Nana Akyea Mensa or Ali Masdman Jehu Appiah, Kwesi Prat, Kwakye, Magaret Jackson, Richard Quashiga and now this writer, Kofi Ata or Ata Kofi, have all confessed that they have written to Oxford University about Nana Akuffo Addo. Under the Freedom of Information request, they have all queried a Foreign University whether their fellow Ghanaman was sacked from the Old Premier University for wee smoking or even went there at all.
They never stop. The CPP and NDC left wing pseudo intellectuals of Ghana's left wing politics are always after other people, but look at their own leaders of Nkrumah, Krobo Edusei, Acheampong, Limann, Boakye Djan, Rawlings, Kojo Tsikata, Atta Mills and now this one, John Mahama:
They are either murderers, thieves, womanisers, adulterous, and mentally or physically ill.
The left-wing apparatchiks are holier than thou apostles of recklessness who always pursue the leaders of DOMO/PP/NPP or 'Mate Mo ho' as they love to call them. They holler at them like the Northern cold winds..
They did it to Dr J B Danquah, hooting at him as an imperialist lackey or CIA stooge.
They hooted at William Ofori Atta and said he was headed for Osu cemetary as if no one will die or any of their leaders will live as long as him.
They said Edward Akuffo Addo is so short they named him after a mini-beer but he went to Oxford University, and wrote more than any Ghanaian for our Independence.
They called Kwesi Lamptey names including a beggar but he was one of the most brilliant Ghanaians that ever lived...
They called T D Brodie-Mends 'oburoni' for his pristine qualities, and then abused him for being given a car with a 3-bottle fridge in its car boot..Uncle Brodie never had peace over this as the CPP/NDC called him a thief but at their Committe of Enquiry they said he did not take a penny from the State; yet he was the Minister of Mineral Resources!
They never stopped abusing Dr Kofi Abrefa Busia, especially his lips, but he was the "Best University Student In Africa"! The Don of empirical knowledge...Master of Democracy!
They attacked Victor Owusu for not being married and then claimed he was a tribalist for saying Ewes are inward looking (If not, will a whole tribe vote for one political party in the 21st century). Yet Victor taught Kuffuor the ropes to bring in Western Investors...There is no one in CPP or NDC who could lace the shoes of immaculate Victor Owusu, a proper Asante Royal!
They never stopped attacking J H Mensah for whatever reason - for working hard; for devaluing our currency and so, the notorious and hateful CPP/NDC politicians encouraged Kutu Acheampong not to continue his debt servicing to IMF but repudiate our loans (Yenntua Policy)
They have always being after outspoken Appiah Menka, imprisoning him, over taxing his factory and always after the poor guy
They called Kofi Amponsa-Dadzie a thief for stealing army socks; and then imprisoned his son for attempted crime because his father ESCAPED PRISON
They called J A Kuffuor every bad name under the sun, and blamed him for his son's hotel business (when the same people had sold all our state hotels)...they say he is a thief for discovering Oil for Ghana
They are after Nana Akuffo Addo:
Either he is a cocaine user or smokes wee first thing in the morning or did not qualify as a lawyer or was sacked from Oxford University and on and on and on
They say Obetsebi lamptey has no qualifications but has not ruled Ghana for 19 years as their certficateless JJ Rawlings, who even failed his common GCE Ordinary Level at Achimota College
Its all character assassination, and the worst people among us know how to it to their political rivals
All the above named people had worked very hard to enter Oxford University at that time. Some were the first to do so in the whole of Africa. Even now, ONLY ONE(1) Black Skin Person was admitted to Oxford University, and yet NPP Leaders have attended the premier University in tandem: Danquah was in a London University; so is Paa Willie; then Busia; J A Kuffuor and Nana Akuffo Addo: They all went to OXFORD UNIVERSITY. We should rather celebrate this feat but not our jealous in-bred envious CPP/NDC children of Ghana's left-wing politics!
CPP or NDC children will pursue even the dead and characterise every NPP or PP person as not fit to lace the boots of the politico military jackasses in NDC sakabo Party. BUT is it true? What a waste of effort to undermine your fellow man.
Ata Kofi or Kofi Ata cannot help addressing us with Cambridge as if Cambridge is his or in Ghana...Ata Kofi, Cambridge... but in all his many articles I have read they are all about politics of individuals:
he does not discuss Job creation; restoration of quality education and to restore the GCE O and A Levels; nothing on irrigated agriculture; unemployability of sss graduates; poor saniation and removal of waste and refuse in Ghana; nothing on water resources or how to create more energy; nothing on Ghana's Oil
Just plain nonsense about innocent people.
There is one question I have seen on the web that I want this celebrated Professor Ata Kofi, Cambridge to answer for us:
Were the people of Ewe and Anlos in Ghana when the Portuguese arrived here in 1492?

Fool, what is making Ghana collapse is people like you failing to use your brains for productive work and discourse rather than wasting everyone's time with useless slander against distinguished and hard working citizens of the land. Not only is Nana Addo one of Ghana's most astounding lawyers, he has also made tremendous contributions to the country's development through his entrepreneurial activities. As a private businessman he inspired the telecom revolutions in Ghana by bringing in the first mobile telecom and express mail delivery systems. When Justice Kpegah was hiding under his wife's skirt, Nana Addo was challenging dictators in the law courts, not through insurrection. One of his first acts as A-G was to repeal criminal libel that has served to unleash freedom of speech and media freedoms. Today, you can freely come here and claim that Nana did not pass his exams at the law school, although you know next to nothing about that matter. With such nonsense going on Ghana, how do you expect your country to progress? Wo y3 aboa pii!

I am full of praise for writers like yourself who tackle the relevant issues and provide information as that practice does not only help to educate but relaxes unnecessary tension.
I can now be confident that Nana was once officialy known as William instead of Nana and that at a point in time his first name was changed from William to Nana. This by itself can never be a crime or a wrong legal action.
What remains to be answered however is whether this change of name was done legally. But agaian why do we have to get bothered about legality of name change, afterall, Nana has distinguished himself as a Lawyer.
This then takes us to the issue of what matters, is it the form or the substance, the old deabte.
Not a legal mind, I will always go for substance and will not be bothered, if there is proof that Nana, did not steal a certain williams certificate and use it as Nana.
However, the link between this case and the EC case championed by Nana in court is worth a recall.
The Key issues raised in the EC case for me relates to a matter of from rather than substance. The issue of presiding officers not having signed the pink forms and also the issue of cancelling all votes in polling centres because a few people may have voted without verification for me relates to form but not substance.
I am beginning to see why some big NPP lawyers on the first day of this case started relating this case with an attempt to distrupt the EC case. Infact I was baffled how they could be related, but I now see the relations through this matter of substance over form.
It is difficult for one to be principled, but it pays to be principled.

The pertinent question is which law school did Akofo Addo attend to gain entry to the Midde Temple? Did he not have classmates in the UK law school he attended? Did he obtained his law qualification through Rapid Result College? ( a defunct home study college based in Wimbledon, SW london). This matter will not go away and will continue to huant AK all his life time.
My late uncle told me that when AK was given the boot from Oxford, he settled in a house in Streatham,(no and street name witheld for now) South West London where they enteratined themselves with booze, girls, marijuana and the like.
My uncle told me he AK did not have time to study with Rapid Result College let alone attend a law school. He was with him during those times but my uncle did English literature with the Rapid result College. He did not complete the course because of their watward ways. I still today have his Rapid Result College tutorials with me as I write.
Kofi. I know of a high profile NPP lawyer who was apponited to a very high legal position in Ghana during the Kuffour era. This lawyer did not pass the common entrance examination but I was surprised to be in the same class with him. This lawyer gained admission to Secondry School because his father was then the administrator at the School.
This was a common practice in Ghana those days where people pay money or use thier connections to gain advantage over their colleagues. Is this the same case with Akufo Addo?
I am yet to buy into your case of him being fast tracked. Such argument is so porous that I will continue to have my doubts. Did this man AK gained entrty to Ghana Law School throug the back door.
His cousin Gabby Otchere failed two subjects at Ghana Law School, Instaed of resiting his exmas as required he was waved through by the then Director Ansah Asare. There is a common trait of gaining qualifications and bogus entry through the back door withi AK family. I am not surprised about these resurgent developments. Kofi Keep on the good work.

A lot of kids who would have done very well if they had a second chance do not because people like you are quick to write them off and think they are hopeless.
How many of the current ministers and MP's qualify for the position they hold?
The Nana Addo obsession is too much, people wanting to take pot shots and he being used as a public punching bag is too much. Every idiot now can take a swipe at him because they have given him a bad name so all losers see him as an easy target.
As an educated individual, you should be intellegent enough to analyse and judge things objectively and see the political mischieve at play here rather than make sweeping statements like "There is a common trait of gaining qualifications and bogus entry through thr back door withAK family" What nonsense. IF your brother or cousin is a thief, does that make your whole family thieves. What a stupid assumption to make.
I will hate to work with people like you because you are not objective and are more interested in heresay, rumours and envy.
Over 30 years, these men have worked together, he has been vetted by different parliaments and he has been known as a qualified lawyer. If it has taken over 30 years for people like Kpegah to question his qualification, then you are all a bunch of no hopers, irresponsible and nation wreckers for allowing this man to get away with your supposed claims all these years. Bunch of losers. No wonder this country can't progress.
In this time and age you can't even provide the citizens with consistent power supply and clean water but have energy to question people about their qualification which they obtained some 33 years ago.

1. let's say your brother who did not pass his common entrance exams took the place of a candidate who was successful? Has this candiate not disadvanted other brilliant students through this this dubious connection?
2. Go tell your cousin Gabby Octhere Darko to keep his mouth out of this because he is a living testimony of fraud and curruption in the Ghana Law School.
It does not matter whether an event took place 33 years ago. A murder committed 33yrs ago is still a murder. Haven't you heard of murder cases being reopened after 50 years?
Please stop being an AK apologetic. The question is did AK obtained his qualification by passing a competent exams? If yes, where and which educational Institution?
4. The man is seeking the Highest office of the land and therefore has to subject himself to public scrutiny.
Don't push me too hard or else I will be forced to publish the address no, the street name and the year AK lived in in South London. This willbring a new dimension to this saga. Its not hearsey.
If push further I will also publish document about AK in my possesstion that will make Justice Kpegah's quest a small fly in the mist of plenty.
Ak must come out to defend himself. This matter about his past is getting silly by the day and apologetics like you DBK will not help.
I will not like to be in the company of the likes of you who think you can use money and influence to achieve your goals at the expense of the hard working.

Just make it public!! Please, go ahead and reveal it. What are you waiting for? Every ghanaian has got the right to know.
Now, this isn`t the first time he`s ( Nana Akufo Addo) been challenged and ridiculed about his qualification. Was once challenged by former First-Lady Nana Konadu Rawlings (don`t tell me you never heard of it). Why didn`t you make it public at that time, the defeating evidence (Don't push me too hard or else I will be forced to publish the address no, the street name and the year AK lived in in South London. This will bring a new dimension to this saga. Its not hearsey), in your possession Mr. Pragmatic Socialist?
You stated in your first comment your uncle once told you things about Nana Akufo Addo and yet you say that`s no hearsay. What do you meanly "that`s no hearsay"? (Please check your english grammar `hearsey`). Kofi Ata did a research to find the truth where and when Nana Akufo Addo tudied law in London. You also have every damned right to research too. Why don`t you go ahead. Who is blocking you? PLEASE NO INSULTS!!!

1.8: Who is William Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo? Nana Addo possesses grace, a grace filled with adiabatic-gravity. Adiabatic-action consists of a cool-action; action without friction. To possess a cool-grace often it is a result of responding to the leadership of Spiritual-Allies; Nana Addo had as wise, trusted, charismatic-mentors his father and Nkrumah who were his models and examples to emulate; both men were powerful-forces that accompanied and led the development of Nana Addo’s personality and drive. Nana Addo possess an inner ability to solve problems; it may have come from the mathematical mind of his father, but Nana Addo possesses a unique ability to create solutions. If Nana Addo was president of Ghana now he would never have allowed the administrative jumble with the lack of power and water that exists in Ghana now. Nana Addo's ability to create solutions gives height and mass to Nana Addo’s Tall-Confidence.
With Nana Addo’s return to Ghana and the Ghana political scene Akufo-Addo began to reveal himself as a uniquely developed leader; Akufo Addo believed in what he was doing and that he could accomplish anything he endeavored. He began to strive with a systematic focus and he began to think in a detailed way about the intricacies of becoming both successful and becoming a good Servant-Leader. He would join and organize; he would endeavor to organize with a basic consensus. Nana Akufo-Addo has become a servant-leader for the people of Ghana. As a servant-leader Nana Addo maintains a spiritual-connection with the people; Nana Addo’s spiritual-connection has grown into the covenant that exists between the People and God. The people’s-theurgy, the people’s-magic, provides an uplifting and a divine in the Gestalt of his mental-posture. Nana Addo has become a successful leader because he became proficient at prayer and meditation. By concentrating on prayer and meditation he has been able to focus on the presence-of-the-present, the here and now. With Nana Addo’s entry into the University of Ghana; Nana Addo focused on some of the choices that might go into the development of his career. His father had followed the paths of the law and politics and Nana Addo was thinking those areas would set the course he would follow also. Nana Addo realized that learning leadership would be important. Nana Addo began by thinking about and creating steps-and-stages he felt would promote succeeding. He thought about his father’s comment about building Tall-Confidence. Even then at Legon, Nana Addo generated others who followed his leadership. In Nana Addo’s personal life he generated Tall-Confidence with prayer and by meditating and thinking deeply. The more the prayer gains in focus, the deeper Nana Addo is able to immerse in the suspended-moment; it is in these moments that he often comes to solutions of problems he has been contemplating. Often, Nana Addo envisions his thoughts about the National-Dreams of the People, while maintaining his focus on setting a course that would facilitate obtaining the objects and goals necessary to fulfill the Peoples’-Dreams. While envisioning probable goal implementations he has moved imminently close to his purpose, the presidency. He stands now before the Supreme Court. In Akufo-Addo’s endeavors for the People he maintains a positive-attitude and a persistent-persuasion in obtaining his objectives and ultimate-goals. In my association with Nana Addo at Legon Campus I caught glimpses of a deeper structure in his presence, there was something profound in his approach to his being; I got the feeling early in my friendship with him that Nana Addo understood where his life’s journey would lead him. Every good person wants to improve themselves, but no one can accomplish great things by themselves. Of course Nana Addo knew this, he knew he would have to work assiduously with other people and of course when he practiced international law in Paris he was succeeding financially working with the people in his law firm, but Nana Addo wanted to accomplish truly great things for the people of Ghana. He knew he had the potential of great accomplishment within him and he realized he would have to multiply himself to catch the dreams floating above Ghana and see them accomplished. Akufo-Addo knows multiple-effort and so he has taught himself the art of joining with the people he meets, his constituency, to increase their ability to accomplish. Akufo-Addo has mastered the method of accomplishing great things; a key is to open the doors of Mastermind-Alliances. He returned from Paris to Ghana in 1975, passed the Ghana bar; ran for Parliament and became an MP—1997--2005. He was actively involved in the formation of the NPP in 1992, with the formation of the Danquah –Busia Memorial Club. When political parties became allowed under the ruling military dictatorship the NPP became one of the first political parties allowed to function. Akufo-Addo understands that in a democracy great accomplishment needs multiple-effort and he has been attempting to lead all of Ghana to the necessity of truly working together and you know what I mean. Everyone wants to improve themselves, but many people; even most people do not understand how to accomplish well, their own self-improvement. All people need to utilize joint-effort. In the political field the value of joint-effort is more easily seen, but many people do not even vote and that means they do not count; they do not appear on a voting statistic. To make yourself count you must vote and more, you need to join a party that wants to and knows how to improve the economy sufficiently to admit you, to improve the economy so that you have a job. Akufo-Addo is a trained economist, he knows how to improve the economy so that most people will become part of the economy; more people will have jobs; Akufo-Addo knows how to make jobs happen; join Akufo-Addo, join those who want to see accomplishment on a grand scale, co-operate with Akufo-Addo, join those who are working diligently to improve Ghana. Akufo-Addo is a great, prepared leader; Akufo-Addo is your leader, join your leader, join Akufo-Addo; all Ghanaians need to team-up to perfect their use of mutual-effort, we must multiply our ability to achieve and to achieve through a leader who has come home to serve the people, to make dreams a reality. We need a good leader who is not a leader, like most of our political leaders, who have come to find and receive financial reward. I know Nana Addo. At Legon I have walked with him and I came to realize that Nana Addo has the ability to meditate deeply while doing as unassuming an activity as walking to the library or the Logia.
In New York City, in Harlem, there is a street called Strivers’ Row, I think of that now as I remember Nana Addo. Nana Addo is a striver who bears the torch of self-confident-initiative. Nana Addo maintained a- directed-effort-to-generate-success with those he worked with and for. Akufo-Addo planned and controlled his efforts to become successful; he used positive thought, initiative and will. Nana Addo would always strive no matter what he was doing, weather it was playing football or practicing international law in Paris. He was always striving, always working hard, always trying to do his best and always making his best better. Akufo-Addo is striving to serve the people of Ghana he’s trying to lead the people to economic success. Akufo-Addo is determined to produce a viable First World economy in Ghana. Akufo-Addo has been preparing himself to lead this drive all his life and he knows how to better and build an economy that will make a First World economy happen. Nana Addo will open the door to the first world economy in Ghana. Akufo-Addo’s goal is to provide opportunity for the people of Ghana. With the opportunity that Akufo-Addo is determined to provide, and he will provide the leadership that will produce jobs and the opportunity for enterprise and entrepreneurship. He will strive for that goal until it becomes part of the identity of Ghanaians. We must learn to always strive, to work using initiative guided by enterprise. We all must learn the true meaning of initiative, which is an ability to originate and follow a plan of action. We must direct our desires and our will to goal-accomplishment. We must concentrate and make our endeavors guided and augmented, to the point that our endeavors become better sustained and lastingly motivated. We should emulate Akufo-Addo, he is the master, the teacher and he knows the multiple lessons of initiative well. Akufo-Addo’s knowledge of the value of initiative is not something Nana Addo was born with, it is an acquired knowledge and he acquired the knowledge of initiative because he knows the value of initiative; he knows initiative produces success. Leadership is what initiative produces and success is what proficient-initiative produces. As Ghana’s president Akufo-Addo will work with the leadership of the NPP, (soon to be Parliament’s predominant party), and he and the NPP will provide governmental-initiative; he will propose legislation that will improve the economy and attract enterprise and help develop large scale businesses that are started and run by Ghanaians.
I realized that Nana Addo was someone who had often thought about what the meaning of his life should become. Nana Addo possesses a powerful world within him. It has always seemed to me that his will has come from a force generated through effort. Nana Addo placed force behind his effort-to-accomplish. He derives from the charismatic mentors he has emulated (Edward Akufo-Addo and Nkrumah) and from something bestowed upon Akufo-Addo by his desire to advocate for the People. There is an African saying: “When there is no enemy within, an external enemy cannot harm you.” Nana Addo has no enemy within; he has Tall-Confidence and is a champion.
Nana Addo’s Tall-Confidence comes from something Nana Addo believes. He believes he can accomplish what he has set out to do; to bring the economy of Ghana to the status of a First World economy. This accomplishment would be the beginning of his principal achievement-goal, which is to become President, establish the NPP as Parliament leader and improve the economy until it becomes a First World economy. Nana Addo has uncovered the secret nature of analyzing and understanding how to produce success. Here, at the stage before finally becoming stands a statistical goal: the analytical measurements of a First World economy. Akufo-Addo has the unique ability to analyze the requirements for the production of a First World economy and Akufo-Addo possesses the understanding and ability to produce the goal. Akufo-Addo is not afraid to work to solve any problem, whether it is economic, or political. This is because Akufo-Addo knows he can summon groupings that can devise the solution to any problem.
When he returned to Ghana Nana Addo began thinking more and more as a Servant-Leader, it was then he began to lead on a broad scale. The path that Nana Addo began following is a well thought out path; he has focused on reaching destinations, as well as following his chosen course of leadership. Nana Addo has been able to do this because he believes in himself; this perception causes him to believe he can accomplish the things he sets as goals. Akufo-Addo wants to lead a 60%-plus constituency, while growing Ghana’s GNP.

He still doesn't refer to himself as any of these but has the temerity to drop William(the royal name of England) in preference of Nana the royal name of his matrilineal heritage. Oh Nana Addo, what an imposter for being born with a variety of names to choose from, to drop, to uphold and so on and so forth. Can any other Justice sue Nana Addo for me, he does go by an Akan first name?

You prefer people who came shouting "ede be k3k3" and make a promise every single time they speak in public and never deliver on their promise, promise dum sor will be ended in Nov 2012 and it rather gets worse in 2013. People are different, some are loud, some are not, i don't care to like my president, i care about what he can do when elected. So i was right, some people don't vote based on issues but on personality. You have confirmed my thoughts about you. It is because of people like you that we find ourselves in the current situation we are in. You don't vote on issues but personalities hence the many problems we face becasue we vote for tall, handsome, can impress but have no substance type of people. Until we starting voting on issues, we will continue to struggle to develop. Think deeply about my comment and your contribution to the problems we currently face. In your own words you have nothing to lose or gain right? So keep your comments to yourself and let those who have something to gain through good governance, electricity, water etc come and make their points. In your own words you will never vote for him no matter how good his policies, in other words you don't care about the well being of us the citizens for your own selfish personal reasons. So let those of whose who want to vote on issues irrespective of who the candidate is, whether arrogant, short, ugly, handsome, tall or what have you, have our peace and try to get the best qualified person for the job irrespective of where he comes from. I've seen where those NPP people got us in 8 years and i've seen where NDC is taken us and the difference is obvious for the true objective Ghanaian. That is what objective people do. All I want is the best for my country and I don't dwell on emotions but track record. Yes they are both corrupt but one is is corrupt but delivers and the other is corrupt but yet does not deliver. Continue writing your nonsense and be rest assured I won't read let alone reply. Enjoy your evening.

kofi your guess might have been right, but when somebodys intergrity is at stake, the only way to keep the doubting thomases in balance is to clear the aligations, your research at oxford made it claer that nana Addo do not completed and graduated as a lawyer at oxford, that raised the fellow question ,then where at all did he MR WILLIAMS DANKWA red his law and graduated as a lawyer?
if oxford made it clear to the general public that mr williams do graduated as a lawyer at oxford university I dont think your friends question would have come into play.
the answers from oxford university made the general public to further push the issue to know where he graduated as a lawyer: before admitted and enrolled at GBA
?
all those ? clouding mr williams akufu addo must be cleared, with credible references and evidence otherwise it will raise another question marks,
eg now GBA want the general public to know that his name W;A:D Akuffu addo of nor; 1190 is enrolled in their register at page number 26
from the simple caculation, of the page ,number of lawyers at that page are 43/44,
that means if every page of the register contains the above figure in sequencial order ( 26*44=1144) that means the number of the last person at page 26 suposed to be 1144,
how got his nor;1190 AT THE GBA register book is questionable

Away with your incoherent submissions which by the way betray your complete lack of grasp of the eminent justice's suit. At the crux of the petition is that even if there is proof that Nana Addo is the same WAD AKUFO ADDO who enrolled at the Bar in 1975 were the legal requirements for the change of his name from WAD AKUFO ADDO to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo satisfied?. As a lawyer Nana Addo should know that WAD AKUFO ADDO is not the same as Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo unless the necessary legal steps to make the persons answering to those names one and the same person were taken.

Hasn´t Akufo Addo commented and used Mr Woyome´s case as a campaign slogan when he knew very well that the case was /is in court but refused to talk on the genocide incitement against the Ewes and Gas by that useless lunatic, saying the case is in court? Kofi Ata wrote "I say this because, information available on the internet says Nana Akufo Addo read Law in the UK and was called to the English Bar (Middle Temple) in July 1971. If this is accurate, it was feasible that his call to the Ghana Bar was fast tracked to enable him represent a client on his arrival in Ghana from England."
Nice try Mr. Ata. You can certainly do better. You have presented no evidence to substantiate that Akufo Addo studied law in the UK; no evidence that he was called to the bar at Middle Temple (this shouldn't be difficult for you to find out); and certainly you have presented no evidence that he was ever called to the bar alone alone in Ghana on any specific date in 1975. These are 3 verifiable events that can be corroborated with official documents. If Akufo Addo wants these kinds of allegations and innuendos to end, all he has to do is present the evidence and silence his detractors. Barack Obama presented his birth certificate, and that silenced the well-intentioned critics, save for the racist fringe. Please advise Akufo Addo to do the same. Nothing you've presented here comes even remotely close to answering the doubts whirling around the character known as Akufo Addo.
Please come again!

How will judge Kpega know that Nana is a quack lawyer if Nana he is doing his work well? Moreover, from all what we are hearing Akufuor Addo managed to learn the law well!
if later in life someone makes a serious allegations about Akuffuo Addo to the judge Kpegah and the judge does his research and investigations and finds out there is something fishy he needs clarification from the courts, he has the moral right to take the matter up.
Look, you people should not tell Ghanaians to swallow this case and sit down quietly. This is a serious matter. It is all about morals. Solving this crime will help stop similar future crimes to continue.
Do you know how many are people in jail for similar crimes? Or is it because this happened to be affecting a high profile person you know or whatever relationship you have with him?
Your kind of attitude is the reason why Ghana is so corrupt. Listen, if bad moral behavior means nothing to you and your family, just keep quiet and keep it to your self because it is a shameful attribute.

Kpega is nuts. As a SCJ, his opinions were never comprehensible. He was a Public Tribunal Member who was fasttracked to the SC just before PNDC transitioned to NDC.
Kpegah sued the CJ last year because the CJ won't cosign a loan for him. He claims he lives off friends and needed money to fix his family house.
Akufo Addo defended JJR during the May 15 trial. He was also attorney for Kojo Tsikata at the SIB. He has argued over 30 cases at the Supreme Court.
His bar mate is Justice Atuguba. Why do we waste time on such nonsense.
