Mike, I do not recollect stating in my aforementioned article that, Mr Richard Chapman is a junior staff member of the Middle Temple as contained in yours. Again, a carefully examination of the exchange of e-mails in my article will show that I did not receive any e-mail from Mr Chapman.
It was Mr Chapman who asked me not to put the name of the staff member who sent the e-mail response to me in the public domain because she is a junior member of staff who was asked to respond on behalf of Middle Temple after the facts were established. To be honest, I did not ask for the position of Mr Chapman.
After I received the e-mail response because the position of the sender was not indicated and knew that Ghanaians would be sceptical, I went back to the Middle Temple to ask for the position of the sender. I spoke to Mr Chapman who agreed to asssist for a senior member to respond to my request. He therefore asked me to send my request through him instead of the general e-mail address.
Please wait to see what response and document I received from the Head of Education Services at the Middle Temple. I am sure Ghanaweb is taking time to make a link to the pdf document I received from the Middle Temple. I am also as sceptical as any other Ghanaian and that is why that brief e-mail response did not satisfy my curiosity and had to go back Middle Temple.
Guys, wait till you see all the evidence I received from Middle Temple. If it is not posted on Ghanaweb tomorrow, I will contact Peace FM online to publish them for Ghanaians to make their up their own mind.

Dear Mr....,
Thank you for your enquiry.
The Middle Temple does not have a member by the name of Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo. We do have a member called William Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and I can confirm that he was Called to the Bar by this Inn on 22 July 1971, but I cannot give any details on his academic history.
Best wishes,

1. When did Bokor know that WAD Akufo-Addo could be different from Nana Akufo-Addo? Ahead of the Dec. 2012 elections, Bokor joined the chorus insisting that one WAD Akufo-Addo was dismissed from Oxford and that the said WAD and Nana Addo are one and the same. Isn't it surprising that only three months later, Bokor did a volte face to support Kpegah's claim that Nana Addo is impersonating WAD?
2. The substance of Kpegah's writ is that Nana Addo is not a lawyer, was never called to the Bar, and is impersonating one WAD (or W.E.D) who was called to the English Bar in 1951 and the Ghana Bar in 1975. Indeed, Bokor claims here that "Justice Kpegah has forced Akufo-Addo to admit that in truth and honesty (as far as official documents and nomenclature for legal purposes are concerned) all that represents Akufo-Addo is William Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and not Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo." Furthermore, he admits that "After all, the essence of Justice Kpegah’s suit is “impersonation,” which is rooted in documentary substance." Isn't it surprising then that in this same article Bokor is claiming here that no one is questioning whether Nana Addo was called to the English or Ghana Bar? This guy is very confused!
3. Now consider these two statements:
a. "The discrepancy in the W.A.D Akuffo-Addo and W.E.D. Akuffo-Addo that we noticed in Justice Kpegah’s suit might have its own implications, especially with the presence of Akufo-Addo’s father on the list."
b. "Further inquiry yielded a list of members of the Middle Temple far preceding July 1971. Three eminent former Ghanaian lawyers on it are: Peter Ala Adjetey, Edward Akufo-Addo, and Francis Akpaloo."
If the only other Akufo-Addo on the Middle Temple list preceding 1971 is Edward, Nana's father, who is W.E.D Akufo-Addo who was supposedly called to Middle Temple in 1971, the same year as W.A.D., according to Kepgah's claims? Obviously, this is an error, possibly a typo, but instead of admitting it, Kpegah's assigns (surely, Bokor is in communication with Kpegah) are rather spinning the error for further political advantage, believing that the rest of us are credulous consumers of propaganda.
4. Now, here is the most ridiculous of Bokor's claims:
"Now that we know that he claimed to have lost his qualifying and enrolment certificates—for which the Acting Administrative Secretary of the general Legal Council (E. Bart-Plange Brew) would issue him a NOTE to enroll him into the General Legal Council on Tuesday, October 16, 2007—we need to be stringent on anything documentary."
Apparently, for Bokor, reporting the loss of your certificate to an institution and being issued with a testimonial note by same amounts to being "enrolled" afresh! In an earlier article, Bokor also claimed that since Akufo-Addo has reported the loss of his certificate and was only issued with a testimonial note, he has been practising without his certificate, which, according to Bokor, is illegal! In other words, the loss of a certificate invalidates one's right to practice a particular profession! This is either ignorance or mischief brewed in the libraries of Long Island!

I am told that in Ghana without the llb you need to go through a longer rout to qualify to practice in Ghana. So the question is how was his process to the Ghana bar and what did he do there to qualify as a lawyer in Ghana.

However, we need more clarifications.
Some other information indicates that the Middle Temple like other Inns have stopped providing legal education since the 1850's and that they only provide legal training (ie practically moulding lawyers for their practice after their legal education).
If this is so then we also need to know where Nana received his legal education before enrolling at Middle Temple.

By the way, leaving the legal issues aside for a moment, many Ghanaians are born into Christian families and given European or Jewish first names at their christening. However, as they grow older, they come to resent their European and Jewish first names, or even surnames, either because they become suspicious of the European civilising mission and stop believing in Christ (e.g. George Awoonor-Williams aka Kofi Awoonor) or they experience epiphany in the true sense of the word- the manifestation of Christ to the Gentiles- and decide to embrace Christ as "gentiles" (e.g. Joseph Hubster Yorke Jr. aka Paa Kwesi Nduom). Perhaps, we should start asking all public figures who have changed, or dropped some of, their names to bring supporting legal documents. Let's start with Kofi Awwonor, a man I know at personal level!

Michael Bokor, the use of 'Nana' is as an inalienable right to an Akan male or female as Mr, Miss, Mrs or Michael,John etc are to the English. Akans needn't ask permission from any institution to use 'Nana' as a title or first name for that matter. Even more so if you are an Akan royal as Akufo Addo is. It is his heritage to own whether formal or informal.
I am blue-blooded as they come in matters of Akan royalty, named after an Okyehemaa, which in Akan custom means I should be called Nana at all times. My parents added Nana to my given names on my birth certificate and that was it. I have been known as plain Amma since! And in future if I were to decide to contest for the Presidency I wont be explaining the absence of being addressed as 'Nana' as a first name or title in my everyday life to your likes or any non-Akan who has an issue with our customs. 'Nana' is in my gift to use or to drop. And lest I forget,M Bokor you lot do not determine Akan norms.
The whole Ghana is littered with Nana Osei, Nana Opoku, Nana Ama, Nana Akua, and nobody ever sought permission from the state to use 'Nana' as a prefix, title or first name informal or formal.
Akans are not forthwith going to ask permission from the state to use their bonafide 'Nana', infact we should ask for it to be enshrine in the constitution that we reserve the right to use it without prejudice to other tribes and in particular those who are bothered by the Akans existence.

Is that stupid old arrogant Akufo Addo not alive? What is he hiding from the public domain? If he thinks this case is going to die a natural death, then he lie very bad. Nobody is going to allow this serious frudulent case to die a natural death. We can not continue with such charcters among us,to the extend that are they taking us for granted just because we don´t want them to rule over us. Akudo Addo should come out clean on this very one.I used to be one of his admirers many years ago, but recent events have made me very sad about him.If really he is what he has made me to understand all over the years,I urge him to come out and disprove Justice Kpegah by telling the whole world, the law school he attended and the number of his certificate and most importanly, some of his class mates. This is a simple thing. About three days ago, the head of the biggest Jewish synagogue in Paris hounourably resigned his position becasue he has initially lied about his qualifications.Former Bill Clinton of the US has also did a similar thing and so are the current one Obama and many prominent personalities.Who does Akufo Addo thinks he is to continue to be holding himself in such a criminal manner? Many of us are now becoming convince about things that are being said about him. How on earth could a person like Akufo Addo lost his law certificate for all this time without going in for a replacement? Sadly there are certain nonentities who have arrogated powers onto themselves to speak for him. How sad and disgraceful! Nana wake up from your slumbers and defend yourself! You are fast becoming a coward.Go and face Justice Kpegah and stop that lunacy of technicalities since even if the court dismises the case,it will forever hunt you till your death.Wake up Nana and clear yourself.Your spokes men are just too much!

Michael Bokor,
Haven’t you ever heard of an adult changing his/her name? In our Ghanaian political history, Kwame Nkrumah, Gbedemah, Kojo Botsio, Krobo Edusei, and many others, all had “Christian” names but they decided to change them at a certain point in their lives.
The story behind Kwame Nkrumah (and Azikwe) changing their names is particularly interesting. Apparently, as they walked in Philadelphia one day, someone they knew called Azikwe’s “Christian” name. When he turned to acknowledge him, the man said, “Oh I was calling my dog.” That very day, the two of them decided to change to their African names. That was the beginning of what became known as “African Personality” during the early years of Ghana’s independence. I have several older relatives who changed their names in those days.
There is a certain arch tribalist called Kofi Awonor who used to be called Amonor-Williams. There is another person who was once called Jerry John. Who now answers to J. J. Rawlings. His particular change of name has a very interesting social/moral twist to it. Why are you not picking on any of those? I bet they do not fit the usual Ewe inward-looking agenda huh?
There are numerous problems that are plaguing the country called Ghana today. Either by accident or plain roguery, the country has elected an incompetent buffoon who doesn’t seem to know what to call his own official residence. He appoints ministers today, swear to Parliament that they the best in his hut and goes back tomorrow to say that “I misfired.” We can’t even supply water to our national capital for three continuous days in one month. Since 1993, every government of Ghana has stolen the people of Ghana blind through illegal overspending without Parliamentary approval, while our half-literate Parliament looks on.
.Instead of debating these issues, we are bogged down by what an adult wishes to call himself? Akuffo- Addo’s Law Firm has probably won more high profile cases than all the law firms in Ghana put together. This Kpegah was languishing in the regional courts, until just before the end of PNDC rule, when they needed an Ewe at the higher echelons of the judiciary and was leapfrogged over his seniors. Rightly, when the NPP came to power, he was ignored for the post of Chief Justice and has never forgiven that. A man who could not build a hut in his village and is now using “patapaa” to live in a government bungalow, long after retirement? How many of his judgement have ever been published in the Law Reports?
Cry the beloved country!

.....he has a very sophisticated writing style. A grade 10 English standard of writing for mass consumption. Exactly the way news stories are written in the advanced countries. He has a doctorate in the language, but like the typical humble and unassuming Ewe and other non-Ewes, he has chosen the sophisticated path of humility and simplicity. What a role model.
Keep it up, Bokor. You are a century ahead of your detractors.

Dr Bokor is it tribal hatred, jerousy, bigotry or academic stupidity that made you and Justice Kpegah to embark on using the law to criminalize more than 90% of all Ghanaian literates of Akan origin? You, Justice Kpegah and all those who for the reasons known to them supporting tribal stupid and insane Justice Kpegah’s suit know very well that almost all literate Akans (including the Justices some of whom were Kpegah`s mates and colleagues in Ghana are known and called at home by the so called home names ie Kwasi, Kwadwo, Kwabena, Kwaku, Yaw, Kofi, Kwame, Akosua, Adwowa, Abena, Akua, Yaa, Afuah, Amma, the socalled day names and nana, maame etc depending on whom one is named after. These names unlike the artificial European names imposed on Ghanaians including you as Christian names have no place in our school register and later on our certificates. For you fools I am a criminal, guilty of impersonation because I am known and called Stephen Gyamerah in Germany where I studied and worked, known and called Yaw Boamah in my district of origin in Ghana and called as Boamah by all from my secondary School days. Are you people not insulting and criminalizing the great Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of being guilty of impersonation because he preferred Kwame to Francis? The earlier you stop your stupidity the better for Ghana does not belong to you the tribalist.
