The cross examination of Bawumia by Lithur was to undermine his evidence in chief which forms the whole basis of the npp petition.What this writer is not factoring into his logic is that these violations, malpractices, irregularities, and omissions which are the subject of litigation are being contested.That means by the end of the hearing the petitioners must have established that those statutory breaches have not only happened but are sufficient enough to affect the conduct of the elections.This is where Mr Lithur is doing a good job on the witness.Contrary to the petitioners claim,they have been forced to make some revelations and virtual about turn on several essential points of their petition which is undermining the petition in a big way.

There is no way that an omission or administrative error which common sense will judge plausible and reasonable will be thrown out because the petitioners say otherwise. The objective test for measuring these conflicts in litigation is what the reasonable man will see as likely to be true or not.It is not propounding a statistical theory which end result can only be determined by the theorist.

The petitioners case is in danger of falling apart because from the performance of Bawumia. His arrogance and failure to answer straight forward questions but choose a narration as a basis of his answers are undoing him. His integrity is becoming questionable because he is asking for the impossible standard of perfection in such a human undertaking which is not realistic. Dr Bawumia's desire to find a fault by all means is undermining their case and unless he raises his game the petition will go no where.

Bawumia has become a nightmare to the respondents because he provides learned answers. Yesterday, the EC lawyer was so confused that he had to seek for Court break twice. The NDC and EC lawyers are digging their own graves by trying to reduce the malpractices, irregularities and omissions to errors.

I believe Tony Lithur is a good lawyer, but he did a very poor job in my candid opinion. He could have gone further to state the proportion of the 11,138 pink sheets submitted by the petitioners which are dubious or questionable. But he couldn't because he knows the respondents would be exposed.

What I'm trying to say is that, the evidence or the truth is on the surface of the pink sheets. They would be audited at the end of the day and the party speaking the truth will carry the day.

He should pity Nana, who might be disgraced in the coming weeks beyond repair. Kwame Opoku Agyemang is a typical Asante. They just follow blindly on tribal lines without thinking. He can keep on dreaming because this tribalistic and regional political party the NPP will never come to power for years to come. We want national political partys and not regional base groups like the UP/NPP with their Mate Meho ideology. Nana will hold his "Victory Party" in the Nsawam Prison.

Remember Salifu started the insults. And let me remind you that there are many Akans in defending John Mahama and NDC.

Does any insult on Akans from any NDC fool soldier means all Akans should vote against NDC? The problem with some tribes in Ghana is inferiority complex and delusion of persecution. Every tribe in Ghana throws insults against the other and you should know that. You think it is alright for a northerner to insult an Asante or Akan but wrong for the Akan to reply?

Political parties are formed based on ideologies and not on tribes and I believe Bawumia is not inferior to think any NPP member is taught to look down on northerners. Many NDC members have made disparaging comments on some tribes including northerners. Why do you people not react then? Or is it that you have sacrificed your intelligence and pride for the NDC?

The kind of shallow comments you and other NDC commentators make about Bawumia only exposes your logic that every northerner is inferior to an Akan. If the NDC loves northerners they wouldn't be the poorest in the country after 24 years of P/NDC rule. Believe in yourself for once. Your problem is in your thinking and not from Akans or NPP.

In order words you want to magnify the offence for effect? It is not a game of lotto, where you stake more numbers and hope for a win on few. These are gravious inconsistencies. Why include even one parliamentary result sheet in the presidential? Tony Lithur succeded in eroding the credibility of Bawumia, by pointing out the inconsistencies and contradictions and clear attempts to deceive the court. If the petitioners wanted to duplicate the pink sheets and not pass them on as genuine why did they not use different colours and inform the court accordingly? It took the Tony Lithur to get Bawumia to accept this. What Bawumia did amounted to "fishing". You make an allegation against some one and out of his answers you vary your evidence. The NPP at the moment don't even know the actual number of pink sheets. That is the inconstitency and contradiction. bawumia may never get the chance to present his analysis as he is in a hurry to do, if the basis of that analysis is not sufficiently established. It is Bawumia who has a greater burden and not Tony Litter.
