I am persuaded former President Rawlings hails from another planet other than the planetary earth you and I, live on. He oftentimes appears to be hallucinating, seeing white as black, trees as mountains and corrupt persons as saints.
How dare he claim that former President Kufuor was exceedingly more corrupt than himself and current President John Dramani Mahama? It takes a dreamer living in seclusion on a planet far removed from our universe to think, see and say things, as does John Rawlings.
Former President Kufuor might have been corrupt in many unknown ways but to assert that he was more corrupt than Rawlings or President Mahama is where I beg to differ.
One is accused of corruption if he is lacking in integrity. “A corrupt politician is one originally honest who has succumbed to temptation and begun questionable practices”. To use your position to perpetuate nepotism, enrich yourself and cronies etc., are all acts of corruption.
Has Rawlings been reading about the GYEEDA, SADA and Judgment Debt Payments reports or issues? Is he aware of the sale of the Merchant Bank, the money owed the Bank by the President’s younger brother, Ibrahim Mahama of the TANII 1 infamy, and his desirousness not to pay back the loan without John Mahama doing anything to compel him to pay up his debt? If upon all these and Rawlings still sees Mahama as a Saint who is not in league with corrupt persons like him, then he had better seek psychiatric assistance as he may not be far from losing his mind.
I am beginning to believe as some people have been saying that Rawlings is enjoying the crumbs falling from the corrupt dinner table of John Dramani Mahama, hence his defence of him in spite of the colossal corruption the Mahama government is perpetrating.
Like a dog lying calmly by his master’s table at dinner time and from time to time chucked some crumbs, so is Rawlings. He only barks when he does not get fed? Isn’t it (Innit)?
Former President Kufuor might be corrupt but he is surely surpassed by Rawlings himself, and John Dramini Mahama who has already graduated with First Class honour, Masters and is now pursuing a PhD degree in the field of corruption.
He who thinks Mahama is a Saint, or he is not as corrupt as or more corrupt than Kufuor should rebut my claim.
This publication is a quick rebuttal to a view recently expressed by Rawlings about Kufuor. It was published on Ghanaweb under their General News of Monday, 9 December 2013,titled, “Kufuor monopolised corruption for himself” – Rawlings.
