Parents Should Be Saved From Adisco Extortion---Hon. Okudjeto

The article that appeared on Ghana web about the extortion by the out-going headmaster and the PTA executive hit the nail right on the head. Some of us just can’t make sense out of that. Why should a parent be compelled to pay GH 30.00 because a certain headmaster’s time has expired? The nauseating thing about the whole deal is the huge amount involved. GH 30.00 x 1500 students; what!!!

Honourable Okudjeto, this is an appeal from parents, please do intervene in this situation because this bring your ministry’s name into disrepute. It will not augur well for the image of the school too. We, as citizens always criticize the government over corruption yet the real crime is committed by us. In fact the PTA is completely useless in this situation. This is not a decision that promotes development. With the myriad of problems associated with our schools, is it not surprising that an organization like the Adisco PTA should rather ignore everything and concentrate on someone who by all standards may already be “full” relative to the acquisition of illegal wealth. It’s always the parents who are at the receiving end. WHY?
