Ghana has pressing issues to deal with at the moment. Would Mr Adofo please stop disturbing our peace with his tales about some long dead chief and his descendants? We have better issues to deal with. Bush man!

John Fosu/ Rockson Adofo; you are only soeculating. You don't even know Dr. Sarfo; you claim you it was reported to by ?, that Ahenenanahene said bla bla bla bla...ALL SPECULATIONS. Mister, you shot yourself in the foot. The root cause of the problems facing Kumawuman is UNNECCESARY LITIGATIONS. It is about time we all channel our energy towards something positive: development of our community. This can only be achieved under peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. I'm glad you sited Nana Otuo Serebour and Juaben. Tell me the last time you heard or saw Juabenman/royals washing their dirty linen in the open? Do you think Nana Serebour, with all due respect, is flawless? No human being, not even OUR SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST:though without fault, the people tried to implicate him.
I don't think you are well vessed in the history of Kumawu, vis-a-vis Ananangya/Odumase as you claim. If you are, you would have seen the great wisdom Nananom used to judge this particular case. Mister, for goodness and PEACE sake, let sleeping dogs lie in peace; DON'T START ANY ARGUMENT THAT WILL OPEN UP WOUNDS. "SE WOREPE ATIE A, Y'EBEKA AKYERE WO". The kettle telling the pot that it is black? Hmmmmmm. "nkokohwedie mmienu nko obi afuo mu". Just ponder over this and stop allowing yourself being used by these folks who don't even know their own history, and feeding you with half truths to make folly of yourself. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and you don't represent the youth of Kumawuman. WE THE PEOPLE ARE TIRED AND ASHAMED OF YOUR STUPID UTERANCES WHICH WILL ONLY PROLONG OUR SUFFERING. Learn to speak softly to carry your big stick, mister; "ohinta dua akyire"....Dr. Sarfo is visionary and caring, consider his daily encounter with the waek and frail, the sick and down trodden; This is a practicing medical doctor whom I think we the citizens must be grateful to have him as our king and leader. He will not soil his good reputation over misappropiation of Kumawuman funds. Let us all welcome him with open hearts and minds, prepare the grounds for him to rule under traquil atmosphere. Yes we would not want him spend resources and time in the courthouse EXCEPTto fight and recapture our stolen lands/ resources: Kwamanghene get ready for BARIMA.
WE SHALL OVERCOME; KUMAWUMAN NKWASO!!!

Rockson, I like most of your write ups about what is going on in Kumawu. However, I get the impression that you don't know the whole story about all the real descendants of the great Tweneboah Kodua. Perhaps a little history here will help.
The Aduana clan people migrated from Esumejah to Feyiase, then to Tikrom and finally settled at the present day Kumawu led by their chief Adofoakye and their queenmother Fontomfrom. This queenmother had 2 girls, Twabiah and Anima. Anima's descendants eventually became the Ananagya family. Twabiah, the other one of the two girls gave birth to Amobi, Nowaa and Taa Akyeampong. Of these three, Nowaa gave birth to the great Tweneboah Kodua.
Now, Amobi, one of Twabia's three children, gave birth to Nyantakyiwah, who in turn gave birth to Kwame Basoah and three other girls. Kwame Basoah became the chief of Kumawu years after the death of Tweneboah Kodua. He led the Asantes in a war in the Volta region area and defeated the Volta people resoundingly but unfortunately he was killed. Before going to the war, he sent one of his three sisters(Bimpomaa) to Sekyedumasi to be under the protection of the Chief priest in the area, Akomaa. While in Sekyedumasi, Bimpoma was seen by the then Asantehene Osei Kwadwo who had gone to consult the Akomaa deity prior to going to war at Bana area. The Asantehene had a baby girl with Bimpomaa and that's how the Kumawu royal line in Sekyedumasi got started. They are both true royals of Kumawu and also true grandsons and daughters of Asantehene Osei Kwadwo.
All these historical facts are there at the Asantehene's archives for any interested party to research.
So the claim that the Anangya family is the only true royals in Kumawu is not borne by the historical facts. Most of Ananagya family now know that royal family at Sekyedumasi is their true blood members and fellow royals. I hope this narrative will enlighten those who really care about the Kumawu Royal blood line.

Ebby, that's a good attempt BUT need few clarifications. Nana Tete Kwaforamoah, chief of Essumja died and the vacant stool was contested between Adofoahyee and one Kwaku Gyebi Kankanfo (some say he was called Kwaku Gyebi Kankanko). Gyebi was installed as the paramount chief of Essumja. Adofoahyee and some of his supporters left Essumja and camped at Sebedia near Kokofu. Nana Gyebi became greatly disturbed at this news and feared that Adofoahyee could use his magical powers to bring about his distoolment because he was well versed in black magic and necromancy, hence his name Adofo was corrupted as "ADOFO-A-WABEN-AHYE": Adofo, the powerful jujuman and spiritualist.
Nana Kwaku Gyebi therefore sent his state executioners to bring Adofoahyee and his followers back to Essumja to be charged with treason and thereby will execute them. When Adofoahyee and his followers heard of this, they quickly moved from Sebedia to Adanse Ahensan. They left Ahensan and settled at Penimase, about 14 miles from Kumase. They left Penimase and settled at Abodom. From Abodom, they moved and settled at Tikrom, near Adarko-Gyakye. From Tikrom they moved and settled at Abira for about three years. At Abira, a quarrel ensued between the immigrants and Nana Anwoma, the then chief of Abira (details witheld), but was related to one of Adofoahyee followers called Opanin Otwee-su-Agyae who was beheaded. Adofoahyee and the rest of his followers sensed danger and left Abira. They ploddded passed through Atwea to Dadiease-Tanoso within APEMSO STOOL LAND or jurisdiction. From Dadiease Tanoso site, they moved to another site, the place nowadays called PAPAASE. The spot where Papaase shrine is situated was the exact place Adofoahyee's house was situated.
Even though Adofoahyee and his people had settled at the outskirts of APEMSO, they never knew that there was a town not far away from where they have camped until one of them called Annor went hunting and never returned (details witheld). Adofoahyee and his men's search/expedition led them to a farm not too far from where they have camped. They saw smoke not too far away and they cautiosly moved that direction and came upon a complete township with houses and and pleasant surroundings. The town is called APEMSO. They met the then Krontihene of Apemso, Nana Adomakopim.
Adofoahyee gave datailed account of their movements from Essumja and were of The Aduana clan. Nana Adomakopim, Krontihene of Apemso led the immigrants to the palace of NANA SIAW, chief of Apemso, and introduced them to the chief as his (Adomakopim's) kinsfolk. The reason Nana Adomakopim introduced the "Abirafo",folks from Abira, as his relatives was that if he said they were strangers, Nana Siaw might have been inclined to refuse them settlement. Nana Siaw received them with opem arms and thence forward a strong bond of friendship developed among them.
Note: "ABIRA" is not a clan' and was only associated with the Aduan immigrants from Essumja who settled at Papaase from Abira.
Adofoahyee was the eldest son of Maama SENIFONTOM (not Fontomfrom). Next to Adofoahyee were:
(2) AFITEMMA (Taa Acheampong)from whose descendants are The Ananangya's.
(3)KWASI FEKAE
(4)KOFI AKWATIA ADUSEI
(5)FAA-KESE :from the descendants of whom are The Odumase's. (Joe Fry is a direct descendant of Faa-Kese)
(6)TWABIA SANAA :mother of Ohemaa Tanoah who gave birth to Nana Kodua Kokoo.
The Aduana tribe of Sekodomase are the descendnts of Kumawuhene Barima Basoah sister called AMOBI II; who are also the direct descendants of Barima Okyere Baafour and Nana Dwentire - the first chief of Bodomase.( details of how they sojourn at Sekodomase witheld)

As with all oral histories, few information are bound to differ but the essential facts remain the same. I wish there is a way to exchange email address with you in order to expand my knowledge base on this issue. Let me know what you think about this.

Your historical perspective of Kumawu is very interesting. I do have quite a bit of knowledge about this subject, after doing some research. There is one important fact I want to bring up here. Taa Acheampong who was the queen of Kumawu, never had any children on her own. That was the reason why a slave girl called Ayo and some of her relatives were brought in to serve Taa Acheampong. Unfortunately the then Asantehene came to Kumawu and saw that beautiful girl Ayo in Taa Acheampong's house. The Asantehene slept with her thinking she (Ayo) was from the royal family. Ayo's brother eventually became Kumawuhene at the request of Asantehene. That's how the ankaase group entrenched themselves into the Kumawu chieftaincy.
