An Atheist, I think is someone who 'believes' there is no God, let alone spirits. Others 'believe' there is a God and there are spirits. You are asking your friends to show you or prove there are spirits,dwarfs, etc. Have you tried proving to them that they are not there or exist? I don't know why your friends want to convince you these things exist. Long ago many Scientists and astronomers believed that the sun was the only star with a planet and a habitable one for that matter. Now they discover a planet a week around other stars. This was possible because some astronomers and scientist believed that other stars may have planets around then amd continued to search for them. Now we know that our sun is not the only star in the universe with planets but other stars have palnets. Whether you believe in God and spirits or not does not matter. What matters is to do good in this world and respect others for what they are or believe. FYI no reputable fetish priest or pastor will ever attempt to 'produce' a dwarf or spirit for your amusement.

Anything with a name exists. It is unwise to challenge spiritual matters that one is ignorant of. The writer did not visit an honest spiritualist, so he cannot draw conclusions based on a shyster.

My first visit to a Traditional African Shrine indicated that those people use statistics and probabilities to determine future outcomes. This is typical of those who worship KanKan Nyame and the Muslim Marabouts who claim they practise the black and white keys. They normally toss cowries, splitted cola nuts and other object and observe how they fall and the trend they follow. This tells us that the knowledge of statistics and probabilities has been with us from time immemorial.

Common sense unfortunately tells us nothing except about the desperation and gullibility of people.
Just because something is written in a book doesn't make it true but perhaps tells us about the ignorance of Bronze Age people on these matters.

If you really want proof just continue to be challenging the evil kingdom and you would really be visited one day. Atanbire whether you believe or not the fact still stands that we are in a physical and a spiritual world, and that most of the unseen are numerous. Continue, and don't stop here, the fact is also that you made a early conclusion, just as I said reading one book and making asumptions. If you do not believe in God that is your only unfortunate decision, every one is entitle to his believe, be there but the battle to know whether there are spirits or not is not ended, The believe in a supreme being called God is a choice. One day you would meet your match and the results may be you survive or not to tell a story.

Guys, stop fooling about with this idea of HUMANISM. As opposed to what? As opposed to NON-HUMANISTS? What nonsense! When people are spending their time writing about real African philosophy, African geopolitics, African theology and such, on Patapaa.com, you are busy deconstructing it.

Deconstruct religion, God, gods, spirits, dwarfs, juju, voodoo, etc., all you want. One thing you can’t seem to understand about life is the duality of it. There’s always going to be bad things happening. But there will always be good things happening as well. Everybody, and perhaps, yourself claim they are trying to do good.

Alas, it’s a claim. You are entitled to it, Religious fanatics, or religious nuts are equally entitled. Good and bad people are entitled to it as well. Good and bad will always occupy us. That is the world. You are not going to change that.

So allow people who want to believe in an outside power/spirit believe what they please. It’s called freedom. And they don’t have to prove anything to you. neither do you! And if you claim you are a humanist and that we are just biological organisms, then what do you care really?

Good for you. You must have time to spend on what doesn’t unite, what doesn’t motivate and you certainly have no clue how a people are born, how a community is built and how we as humans have evolved. You think you know, you are only 31, and you have long ways to go!

I hope not the fetish priests but also the so called men of God are also caught in their lies.The easiest way for people to make money is starting a church. I live in Toronto and if you take the Ghanaian newspaper there a thirty churches . How can that be? There are about 3 different Methodist churches. There is a church Bethel Prayer Ministry in Toronto. The guy started in Virginia, Alexandra in America. The pastor will go to some of the church members ask for their tithe from their homes. Sometimes he drove them to ATM to withdraw the tithe for him. Later the church members got to know his lies and stopped .Then he came to Toronto to start new church. There many false prophets cheating and manipulating people. Some of these quack pastors come from Ghana to give holy bath to women. They fondle them, sleep with them and charge as much as $50.00 per bath. Is ironic that in this day and age, people still allow themselves to be taken for granted.
