Shameful to sack Kwesi Appiah without Plan B!

Coach Kwesi Appiah’s sacking sparked big mayhem in Ghanaian communities. The former coach of the Black Stars was loved by many and till date, majority of Ghanaians are not happy. The pundits of the game have also questioned his (Kwesi) sack.

The Executive Committee gave Kwesi Appiah 101% vote of confidence after the World Cup and he (Kwesi) continued in his stead to gain four points for Ghana in two AFCON Qualifiers.

It was so amazing for the GFA to have sacked Kwasi Appiah after those two games. Four points out of six was good for any country. Football is a game of uncertainties so is highly not easy to expect a win at all times.

Kwesi Appiah was sacked for no crime committed: he was sacked for no reason. The ‘innocent’ coach, who defeated Egypt with ease to become the first local coach to qualify Ghana for the World Cup, will forever become embittered!

Maxwell Konadu, Kwesi Appiah’s former assistant, was asked to step in for the Ghana – Guinea encounters whilst the GFA searched for a coach before the Black Stars’ last qualifying games.

Since, the GFA has failed to name a coach. Ghanaians were promised a coach before Ghana plays Uganda in Kampala but has become a hoax. There is no coach to take over from Kwesi Appiah.

The shame is, why do you sack a coach when you have no plan B in place?
