NDC And Their Shameless Double Standards

Mon, 22 Dec 2014 Source: Quashigah, Korshie

Saturday the 20/11/2014 saw the National Democratic Congress holding its 8th national delegates congress to elect senior party officers for the next four years. Listening carefully on Joyfm during the morning session, there was an interview segment that got me thinking, because, Professor Kwamena Ahwoi was asked to tell Ghanaians about an intended Ideological School by the NDC to train their party faithfuls, and he emphatically answered the journalist that he was not prepared to tell him and Ghanaians because he would rather do so first to his Party people whose benefit the school would be for, and that Ghanaians would know after this had been done.

Could Professor Kwamena Ahwoi be exhibiting a major symptom of DOUBLE STANDARDS, seeing that the propaganda machinery of his Party, the NDC had gone to town heavily on Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo, the current leader and Presidential Candidate of the NPP, when he said in an interview with Stephen Sackur of the BBC in 2012 that he, Nana Addo, would not reveal the answer to a question asked to a foreign media when he had not spoken to Ghanaians.

Remember that Nana Addo refused to tell a foreign network outside Ghana and not Ghanaians here in the country, yet Kwamena Ahwoi refused to tell Ghanaians right here, and sees nothing wrong with his not providing an answer.

Could this project be likened to the NDC headquarters building of which Ghanaians have not been told the price to date, and the source of funding still a mystery?. Perhaps, another scheme to create, loot and share our resources.

Talking about events at the same function, Sam George, a communication consultant of the President, in his usual dismissive fashion insulted Mr Ivor Greenstreet of the PCP with his disability, as being the reason why he could not see or appreciate the NDC'S better Ghana agenda in the country.

When Sam's indecent comment was challenged by the wrath of sensitive and well meaning Ghanaians who found his comments very distasteful, he came back with an explanation that he had meant the comment on a philosophical level and not at Ivor's obvious disability.

Now, how could Sam George, be questioning Mr Greenstreet's philosophy by admonishing that the man, a disabled in a wheel chair, be "elevated" to be able to see the better Ghana agenda of his NDC party.

Sam George could have well stated that the man be elevated in his thought on the economy, without deliberately inferring Ivor's obvious disability and trying to spite him by leaving the statement so open.

But typical of these deceiving NDC bunch who copy and lie as a Party policy, shame is never their portion as they have copied the NPP again at their latest congress, replacing their official tag to lie (propaganda) with communications.

The NPP have a party communications director, the NDC copies that into communications officer. They copy our NASARA concept into a Zongo wing, our Northern Development Fund policy was stolen and abused by them in the form of SADA, of which all Ghanaians know what mess it run into, and continues to be in. I just pray that the cherished vision of a free SHS, which has been the passion of the NPP Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo Addo, which they have hijacked after having lied about its impossibility in 2012, is not messed up like other stolen policies.

As we welcome their newly elected executives, I hope they do have their own vision and strategy for once, that would see them lose the 2016 general elections.
