Bokor is again stiff standing in his line trumping on the NPP as having got a very soft cushioned foam but unfortunately, it seems partisan and tribal idiot, Bokor, is blind to the NDC and Kwadwo Afari Gyan's Technicality of rigging almost all the elections held in Ghana. Even the Rawlingses have said it.
Bokor, let your NDC be fair, stop rigging elections in Ghana and see who will really win.

Dear Dr. Michael J.K. Bokor, political reforms are not only in the interest of NPP or any other political party, they're rather beneficial for all the parties in the country. Moreover, it's the right thing to do to preserve democracy and future stability of our beloved nation.
It's therefore necessary for all the parties in the country including the government's own party to forward ideas that would make our elections fairer. In fact, the academia and opinion leaders of the society should also contribute towards making the elections more fairer. "Forward ever and backwards never."
I, therefore, suggest that the leftist communist Dr. Michael should cross carpet and support democracy in his country rather than go on supporting mediocre and impeding the development of democracy in his country. Proper and deep rooted electoral reforms will strengthen our democracy now and for ever.

In conclusion, the President’s power to appoint the Chairman and Members of the EC is merely a ministerial one. The substantive power of appointment is assigned to the Council of State. The President shall act on the advice of the Council of State means the President is barred from the nomination, vetting and selection process. Those who framed the Constitution were keenly aware of the impropriety inherent in allowing the President, a political player, to play a critical role in selecting the political referee. Nevertheless, out of deference for the office of the President, the framers allowed him, as the Chief Executive Officer, the honour of “appointing” the candidate selected by the Council of State. In this case, all the President is required to do is to issue the appointment letter under the Presidential seal but no more.

The proposals put forward by IEA for constitutional reforms are the best possible way of strengthening our democracy. Anybody criticizing or unwilling to accept them must have some myopic and self-serving agendas that are not in the interest of Ghana and its development. Our weak institutions can easily produce a "constitutional dictatorship" difficult to get rid of.
Those who have genuine alternative ideas and views regarding the proposals should come out clean and tell Ghanaians what they have, and not hide behind to sabotage their adoption. These proposals in our view could reduce partisan politics and strengthen democracy and the rule of law in our country if adopted. On the other hand, if we dare reject them or drag our feet, we will continue to grope in darkness with disastrous consequences.

I would like to know the kind of reforms that the Supreme Court recommended. To begin with,I also believe there are some administrative lapses that is indirectly affecting the smooth running of elections. Many Ghanaians don't hold National Identity Cards and don't have residential addresses. It is even difficult for government and institutions to write to individuals across the country.I also think that in normal circumstance, the EC does open a new voters register for new comers and demands the old ones to check if their names are still in the register.I believe we shall always have inaccurate figures because of the admistrative lapses where death certificates are not of any importance. In some advanced countries,as soon as you reach 18 years,it's automatic that the City Council invites you to come for your voter's ID Card not matter which remote area you are staying. If we don't have this facility at least,we must make sure every Ghanaian holds a National Identity Card before registration otherwise we cannot blame the EC.Thank you.

UK has become a hub for misfits and bandits of the NPP stripes where ignorance, intellectual dishonesty and cowardly hypocritical character traits are required for it's membership.
The sad and disappointing news flash is that most of these UK-based Ghanaians and UK citizens of Ghanaian parentage proudly display their classroom acquired credentials while their political activities reinforces their ignorance, kokoase thinking processes and continued tribal and political party loyalties they cannot evade or shed off even when living in civilized and more organized UK where they bear witness to things work precisely because of love of or for country that flows through authentic British citizens. It only goes to show you can take ignorant kokoase people and give them the best education money can buy but you cannot remove the very tribal delusional traits that makes them classroom educated but ignorant fools. Why would elementary school level students understand that the Ghana EC that is right when it declares NPP winners of national elections but become the devil when it declare NPP losers when election results says so but college educated NPP bandits cannot grasp the same concept?

Your writing is oblivious of all the acrimonious electoral experiences and suspicions which led to killings and maiming of innocent citizens on the continent just trying to ensure that the right thing was done.
It is uncalled for to bash and cast insinuations or sprinkle invectives on fellow Ghanaians whose only guilt has been to express concerns about the pitfalls in the implementation of the electoral laws which may disturb our peace and tranquility in the foreseeable future. This should never be seen as crying wolf where there is none.Or should result in name calling as you have shown. After all, they are entitled to their opinions and have every right to ensure that our human and natural resources are utilized in a judicious manner for the benefit of all Ghanaians.I find it childish to think that any diverse opinion is the brainchild of the opposition or reactions to below par policies were instigated by the opposition ,the NPP always bearing the brunt of every accusation. As if they are little minds and cannot think for themselves.
It is an uncovered secret that Nana Akufo-Addo won the presidential election but for the cowardly act of Dr.Afari-Gyan.
There was a before election campaign video about biometric verification of votes on the website of the Commission which unequivocally trumpeted that no biometric verification,no voting. So going by their educational video, those 10000 votes which lacked the voting prerequisite of biometric verification should have been declared NULL and VOID.It was simple and straight forward. No court of law deliberations were needed. The video spoke for itself.A simple case of the Electoral Commissioner being courageous and nullifying the votes in question.
Let us not open coffins in order to see corpses. The year of the rematch 2016,by divine grace,is not far-fetched and will shine its light upon us within the twinkling of an eye.I am glad that Nana Akufo-Addo was reelected the flag-bearer of the NPP again.Time will tell.
