Your topic should have been "minor case", not your name. I agree with you. But I agree with Adebayor more because there are people who get "healed" when they discuss what is worrying them "inside", rather than keeping it to themselves; I believe Adebayor is one.
Now, let me say why I agree with MINOR CASE. Adebayor's case is "more" financial than what others have experienced. What I mean is that, Adebayor can rebel by paying this people off, and going his way -- to live in an unknown world. But what "we" have experienced is different -- you can't pay them off -- that is what makes our case worse than Adebayor's!!!
Imagine your own mother and sisters stripping themselves naked in a compound house as a symbol to swear that: "Whaat? How can you get money? You will remain poor forever!!! Where will you pass and get money or marry? You can never get a child. We challenge you to marry and get a child, and let's see. Are you a man?"
As if they are God.
This is because "since you don't have it today, you can never have it!!!"
Today, 3/4 of them are dead. The remaining lie down and worship you everyday, saying that they never knew it will turn out like this.
The difference between "ours" and Adebayor's is that, "we" have kept it in our hearts; but our's was worse!!!.

Yes, I agree with you Angelina. Our extended family system can serve as a safety net just as the welfare systems in some western countries. But any African in the diaspora who is committed to lifting his or her extended family members out of poverty would soon realise that these family members think he or she is a fool to be taken for granted and exploited. This realisation can make you mad.
Adebayor, you have done your best. Focus on yourself and your humanitarian Foundation and leave the ingrates in your family to wallow in their greed. They shall surely be consumed by it.

At least you now know how your wife and kids would be treated when you are gone.It is time, if l were you, to start all over by building everything around your wife and kids. Count yourself blessed to be alive and still active in top flight football. If your mum and your siblings won't appreciate you for all you have done for them, look else where. There are orphans who would appreciate you. I understand you are on Chelsea's radar. Good luck son!

Hi
In as much as Adebayor is right, we must understand that in Europe, Asia and South America the footballers/sportsmen support their family and relatives. On that basis Africa is not alone. A middle ground could have helped the Adebayor family. If you are earning £100,000 a week even friends expect more whether in Africa or Europe, how much more in Africa. Lets hope they resolve the issues and do it well and fast before its too late for; Had I known is always at last....Shalom

Bear in mind that he is not legally obliged to look after them.He performed his moral duty very well. His sister had no right to sublet the property without his consent. That is what drove him bonkers!

This does not depict a typical African family but rather a typical greedy family. Adebayor, God will bless you for doing your part as a son, brother and a philanthropist.

Adebayor has done a great deal for them and I wonder if there is any African footballer who has shown enough care for the extended family like Sheyi has.
With all apologies and respect to Abedi and Tony Yeboah, I don't think they have built houses for their siblings as Adebayor has done for his siblings. The family is asking Adebayor to establish "A Big Business " For them ,when they have not been capable of managing small businesses. How can you carry a ton when you can lift ten kilos.?
With families like the adebayors, one would easily understand why blacks are backward . No European footballer has a baggage of dependants other than his wife and kids.
I could not believe that Adebayor's Mum would be demanding a Porche Cayenne from Adebayor.
In any case what would the family have done if Adebayor was not a rich footballer? Are they not poor people living in their neighbourhood?
