As a man it is my opinion that the empirical evidence over centuries disproves that supposition. Referring to the male dominated NPP as " girls in skirts" is demeaning to women and example of retrograde thinking. If we are so superior to women why do so many men resort to brutal force against women, why is that women are physiologically superior we die like flys compared to women during epidemics, I could go on ad nauseam.

Akufo Addo is just a bad leader. Anyway you look at it, NPP wouldn't be going through this internal rancor culminating in murder if a person like Kufuor or Kyeremateng was the leader of the party. A leader has to be able to take a step back, elevate himself above feuding and antagonistic elements in his party and manage to bring them together Akufo Addo cannot do this. He's instead part of the factional fighting that is going on in the party. That is a terrible leader. Ghana does not deserve that kind of leader.

There is an extremist ethnocentric strain in the NPP, to wit the : "matemeho" & ayenAkanfo" elements. It's a logical progression from "ayenAkanfo" it is our prerogative to rule to "Akyem ni Asante nkoa on rotation" as for Ntafo permanent VP. Within that Akan preminence the are historical cleavages and fissures, it should not be a surprise therefore that those who use ethnicity as a political tool outside the party may still harbor ideas of preeminence within the Akan bloc and apply the same tools within the party leading to internecine intraethnic warfare within the NPP coalition. Despite various protagonists having some allies on the other side, make no mistake it is the Abuakwa vs Asante fault line that is the source of the vitriolic and self destructive that is a constant of the NPP. You see the internal logical imperative of "yenAkanfo" is yeAkyemfo yeAsantefo etc and since politics in Ghana is perceived as a zero sum game the NPP is most likely destined to collapse or splinter unless there is serious internal reform to eliminate negative ethnocentrism as a cardinal principle of the party. I believe it is possible because arguably at least 50% or more of Akans do not subscribe to negative ethnocentrism judging by the electoral history of this country. Further we Ghanaians in general have shown a willingness to welcome and live in harmony with each other in our respective traditional domains despite the best efforts of lazy backward & unscrupulous politicians to use relatively superficial difference to divide us in their quest for power and self-enrichment. I rest.
