  God did not write any book but those who wrote the Bible did that through God's inspiration. There are spirits and in this vast world and they will continue to live alongside humans till the end of time.
  
  Anytime you dream, it is the spirit part of you that goes out of your body because it never sleeps. Spirits are real and you cannot relegate them to the backbench. The fact that you cannot prove their existence doesn't mean they do not exist.
  
  That said, we can develop and still hold on to our belief in God.

  Pelicles you are totally wrong.There is no evidence that any god exist and dreams are the function of the brain and nothing else.

  Stanley Seshi a good article however part 2 paragraph 2 line one should have read natural and social, not natural and cultural. Theists believe that the spirit is given to man by supernatural forces, that are supposed to have created the material world, predestined the existence of man and society. The spirit is however the property of society, and is a creation of society. It transcends as aspects of human endeavour and it is though, not acquired. The spirit behind a story, behind a painting, sculpture and medicine is triggered in the consciousness of a person who is thought to understand and appreciate those acts and biological sciences.
  Religion we stated is the creation of man, just as man created other trades like carpentry, drawing and medicine. Thus man created God and not that God created man. Man created God as an illusion that was supposed to intercede on his behalf against the forces of nature and society and that was at the primitive state of development of society. Whiles society has done away with many forms of human endavour like gathering crops and hunting, he is yet to do away with religion and superstition.
  Most of the pains that was done to society up to date were and are under the guide of religion, in the main Abraham religions. Let us mention the Crusade wars, inquisition, transatlantic slave trade, colonization, racial segregation, apartheid and the same applies to neocolonialism and neoglobalisation. The abolition of religion will bring peace and freedom to mankind. Religion dehumanize man and make him a pitiful animal. The matter here is that it is not only Africans who believe in God. The imperialist countries have used religion against society even the current problems in Ukraine are under the guide of Christianity Christian orthodox who are Russians against Ukrainians who are Catholic. The wars in the Balkan were fought and are still been fought under the guide of Christian and Islamic sects, so are the wars in Afghanistan, Somalia, Sudan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen and Kenya. I was once told in Europe that since I am a Negro who does not believe in God I will go the hell when I die. I told the woman when I go to hell I will have fire to cook my food, knowing well that there is no heaven or hell, and that a person does not have a soul that lives after he dies. I also told the lady that I do not want to be bitten by the mosquitoes I killed who will follow me to heaven or hell to continue to inflict their pain on me. Religion is deception, an illusion and mirage that people from birth are made to chase.

  We need you to demonstrate to us, how you have transformed and developed yourself without religion before we can join you in your "War on superstition". Otherwise all your imaginations in this your long drawn out arguments are just like another prayers offerred in a religious worship.

  Start thinking by looking at what the develope world has done,created and achieved by using their brains.Are all these achievements created by God.Its about time the Black Race especialliy Ghanaians have confidence in their ability to do things and stop relying on the so called God for their problems
