Could you remember that P/NDC with the endorsement of former EC boss used fake indelible inks for elections in 1992 and 1996, which was part of the rigging mechanism to steal until proper indelible ink was secured for the country in 2000 by Creg Murray?
Contrary to what the discredited former EC Chairman said, this is another example of how elections are rigged far away from polling stations and Ghanaians must wake up. NDC is again preparing to rig the elections through the old corrupted voters' register and Asiedu Nketia and his party is fighting to keep the loophole intact.

1. There is nowhere in the world where you have 60% of its citizens that qualifies to vote when the vote age minimum age is 18 except in Ghana. We have a population of 25 million people with 15 million as registered voters that is not possible when you compare it with population age distribution in Ghana.
2. We have 48% of Ghanains who are seventeen (17) or below that age so how did we get 60% of the population as voters?
3. During the 2012 elections, more than 12 million people cast their votes, that is more than 80% of registered voters casting their votes and such numbers are only seen in Communist countries like Cuba and North Korea.
4. Nigeria with a population of 170 million people have only 58 million registered voters, that is like 40% of the population which is more credible than Ghana with 60%

It is definitely bloated if we go by the 25 million but the question is do we really have a population of 25 million? It is also common knowledge that many non Ghanaians, especially from those countries bordering Ghana, were registered. An audit would be much cheaper to do than calling for new registrations altogether, especially if we have not found a way to prevent the anomalies of the last registration. in the real world it is easy to audit a database but everything is a challenge in Ghana since there are no national IDs, clear addresses, proper law enforcement etc. I think we would have to live with what we have and hope that the parties train their polling agents to detect fraud and anomalies on election days. The problem though is there is no way of stopping any one from voting even if you detect fraud because our laws don't work.At the very least it can be recorded for the new EC to take action and clean the process.

I am amazed how Adofo and his bunch of fools in his party think? Can any reasonable person in the NPP explain to me or all intelligent Ghanaians how the party arrived at the claim that the voters register is bloated. If that is the case, why should NPP then claimed Nana Akufo Addo won the Presidential election with the bloated register which they are now trying to discredit. So does this mean Nana Akufo Addo and NPP would have been silent if he had won the election knowing that the voters register was bloated?
Finally, can Adofo and his shallow minded followers tell Ghanaians how NPP rigged the 2000 and 2004 elections with the bloated register and thought it was OK only if NPP is in power and problematic if it is not them. Fraudsters who has lost everything and now proclaiming they are ' Born Again' souls.

5. Let's even assume 60% of Ghanaians are qualified to vote, common sense and empirical eveidence shows that no where in the world does a a country able to register everybody eligible to vote as a registered voter.
Example, USA with a population of 320 million have 146,311,000 registered voters, that is like 45% of the population though 207,643,594 are qualified as eligible voters. That means only about 60% of qualified voters are registered.
Are we saying that in Ghana we are able to register everybody qualified to vote or we might have 18 million qualified voters and we were able to register 15 million of them? That is like 84% of eligible voters registered compared to 60% in USA.

Change is always slow and painful but there will never be any growth without change. Every change produces its winners and losers. In this instance the losers, representing the minority are those who are whining and resisting the proposed change and the winners are the vast majority of Ghanaians. The change must happen because it's in the best interest of most Ghanaians and we will support this movement and process as best as we can. Wishing you God's blessings.
