Why is there so much hate in Ghanaians? Why can't people just unite?
When an individual, a sect, a clique or a nation hates and despises another individual, sect, clique or nation, he or they simply do not know the objects of their hatred. Ignorance is at the bottom of it.
The underlying truth is for us to accept is that, ignorance is the mother of all evils. A problem arises if we identify that learned fool is more a fool than an ignorant fool. Such class of people abounds in the country.
The secrets or the underhand schemes of some of our so-called learned never ceases to amaze. Dr. Asare-Donkor says new voter register is not a panacea for free and fair 2016 general elections. Is the learned Dr. Asare-Donkor a student of politics? Is the learned Dr. Asare-Donkor aware of the tools required to organize a credible elections? Is the learned Dr. Asare-Donkor saying it is too late? God save Ghana.
In 2012 registration took place between April and May. The argument he is putting is ridiculous and difficult to understand and appreciate his drift.
Next focus rests on Jacob Osei Yeboah. Jacob Osei Yeboah claims both NPP and NDC are "Electoral Thieves". What are his reasons for accusing the two parties?
I think Mr. Jacob Osei Yeboah should be made to provide evidence of thefts perpetrated by both parties because such a blank allegation needs verity and must not be swept under the carpet.
If we are able to identify that a learned fool is more a fool than an ignorant fool, partly the problem has been identified.
The basic secret of freedom lies in educating people, whereas the secret of tyranny is in keeping them ignorant. Most socialists or liberal democrats prefer keeping their audience in ignorance.
If ever a statement put forward my gut feeling, then, Winston Churchill states it cunningly and vividly, that "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery".
Listening to NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah in his Press Conference, his ignorance on the statistics presented by Dr. Bawumia was as remarkable knowledge.

Most fail to recognize that our souls may lose their peace and even disturb other people's, if we are always criticizing trivial actions - which often are not real defects at all, but we construe them wrongly through our ignorance of their motives.
Listening to Atik Mohammed submission on the Voter Register was confusing and contradict his own submission. In one breath he accept that there are problems with the register and agrees a cleaning or an audit be effected but declines to proffer the kind of solution.
However, he has willingly accepted that a new register will also be compromised because minors may be registered. The occurrence of minors will be a thing of the past if we all become vigilant and insist the right things are done in our collective interest.
The type and kind of argument he advanced is absolutely weak and should not be countenanced in any serious discussion. He seems to have been swallowed by Mornah and Asiedu Nketiah assertions.
I expected Atik to proffer a suggestion, a solution or mechanism that will go a long way to help avert the registering of minors or drastically reduce the incidence if it can't be eliminated.
For me, it is a welcome acknowledgment for a need to subject the "voter register" to forensic audit or to have it replaced. Those asking for auditing should show course why in their view it is possible to have a credible voter register through auditing as against replacing.
In all situations there will be positives and negatives, so the question about minors should rather inform us as a people to educate ourselves on the dangers it bears on the minor in their future dealings in life and desist from such criminal acts.
The problem we have as a country is our failure to appreciate how the pendulum of life and truth affects us all. And that the liberals will not listen to the facts, and the conservatives will not give up on presenting the facts.
The world we find ourselves is just full of hatred and ignorance exploited by politicians, and is the main reason why we have social conflicts and wars!
If people lived as they should, peacefully, then, global war, starvation, and evil-inclinations would all be a thing of the past! Lying beneath in all these is that ignorance is at the bottom of it.
It was John F. Kennedy who stated it as it should, that "the ignorance of one voter in a democracy impairs the security of all".
A wise man makes his own decisions; an ignorant man follows the public opinion. The defining measure for prudence is that reason obeys itself; and ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it.
When and where ignorance becomes our master, there is no possibility of real peace. If you are kept in ignorance of the true way and permit yourself to rely upon and be guided by the opinion of external contradictions of man, you can never gain the riches that will bring you peace and lasting happiness.
The sublime law of the sages says act wisely when the time for action comes, and to wait patiently when it is time for repose, put man in accord with the tides. Ignorance of this law results in periods of unreasoning enthusiasm on the one hand, and depression on the other.
The voice of the intelligence is drowned out by the roar of fear. It is ignored by the voice of desire. It is contradicted by the voice of shame. It is biased by hate and extinguished by anger. Most of all it is silenced by ignorance. Why is the NDC and its associates raving and ranting?
Someone said, one word, "Ethnocentrism"...that has a lot to do with the division and hatred of the Ghanaian people...too many political bigotry crossing the boarders, hence, we have to deal with their obsessions to tear down our country to suit their political needs in our country.
Why is it we only hear these calls for unity when National Democratic Congress are in power? The NPP are just suppose to throw out their values and principles and jump on the propagandist bandwagon for the sense of unity?
Where was this feeling that we all should unite when Kuffuour was President and the NPP in power? Oh sure, after economic meltdown of 2007, we had unity for a few weeks. But for most of his presidency, Kuffuour was being viciously attacked by those out of power.
The problem seems to be that almost 5,000,000 plus people can still think for themselves. They don't want the government to tell them how they should live their lives from cradle to grave. They still believe in the Constitution that has made this great country what it has been in the past and could be again.
The Constitution is very definite about who is a Ghanaian. The Constitution is very clear about who registers' to vote and there are no ambiguities with regards to the said "article".
Now, ignorance is one thing, ignorance can be cured. But many of the NDC leaders opposing this research know better.
We can't unite because we see very different paths for our nation. On the one hand, under a man like Mahama, we see a growing dependency on a Kleptocratic and unsustainable governance that weakens the individual, our economy and our nation as a whole.
On the other, you have a philosophy that supports freedom, independence, self sufficiency, self reliance and personal responsibility. Alongside a philosophy that fosters strength both for the individual, the economy and us as a nation.
In such polarized environment, in order to 'unite' one or the other would have to give up their ideals and adopt those of the other. And that is not going to happen. Also, we must allow our nation to sink into the abyss of weakness and dependency just so we can hold hands.
However, I'd like to see us unite against parliament, both NPP and NDC, they deserve it. If everyone woke up and realized how corrupt they are, how much money passed hands to silence parliament and other State institutions, there would be so much outrage we little people would forget about our petty little complaints about each other.
Parliament and other State institutions wants us to hate each other, that way we concentrate on the bickering in the street, and leave them alone to allow their corruption to fester.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. Dr. Bawumia is very empathic in his presentation that truth is incontrovertible.
If we are unable to see through the mischief and the ethnocentric propaganda of the NDC then we are not really free if we can't control our own government and its policies. And we will never do that if we remain ignorant. Ignorance has always been the weapon of tyrants, whilst on the flip side enlightenment beams the salvation of the free.
To conclude, we should address our minds to deficit that prevails in a democracy - which is awareness and responsibilities.
With attention deficit democracy, I am trying to wake up people to how the combination of mass ignorance, fear mongering by the government, and lying politicians is putting our entire system of government to a death spiral.
Part of the reason that the government's fear mongering is succeeding is because so many people are so ignorant, that it is easier for government to frighten people in submission.
So many commenting on the NPP submission are ignorant. Ignorance is always afraid of change. Truth will always be truth, regardless of lack of understanding, disbelief or ignorance.
