One of the things that may overwhelm a newbie to cryptocurrency is the address. If one does not know by now, a cryptocurrency address is a combination of numbers and alphabets in both uppercase and lowercase, for example, “13PjPFoqUteDuu37NKAwujE3TZUGmmaKw6”. Some people can memorise this but for a great number of people this is impossible and very unwieldy, especially on a mobile devise. Up to now, one had to know the full address to send VirtaCoins to another account. The game has now changed with Omnivirta Project.

Starting 1st of September, 2015, if you know the VirtaCoinWallet USERNAME of the person you want to send VirtaCoins to, you can simply put that username in the address field of the transaction. This makes the transfer of virtacoin very easy. You do not have to copy and paste any address thereby avoiding any inadvertent transfer to another wallet, which may not be retrievable and has been a common occurrence in the world of cryptocurrency.

With the Omnivirta Project, you can also now send VirtaCoins to an email address. As long as this email address is registered on virtacoinwallet.eu there will be a direct transfer of VTA from an online wallet to the recipient, in the same way as when using a registered username as explained earlier. All one needs to do is simply put the email address in the address box and that is all.

One can also send VirtaCoin to an email address that is NOT registered at www.virtacoinwallet.eu. Here is what happens when you send virtacoins to an email address that is not known on the database of virtacoinwallet:

1) www.virtacoinwallet.eu generates a new account and loads it with the amount you want to send.

2) www.virtacoinwallet.eu then sends an email to the email address you put in the address box. This email will inform the recipient of the Virtacoin transfer which was initiated by the sending username. It also contains a link to claim the VirtaCoins that has been sent. That link will take the recipient to a virtacoinwallt.eu registration form which will attach a username and a password to the account that was generated in step 1. No email validation necessary because the already known address is valid.

3) If the VTA is not claimed within 7 days the new account is deleted and the VTA sent back to the senders account. The sender can see if and when the recipient claims the virtacoin by looking at the DATECONFIRMED field on the Transaction in his/her wallet.

As of now, users can only put usernames that are known on virtacoinwallet.eu, however, in the not too distant future, it will also be possible to attach names to external virtacoin wallet addresses like desktop wallets.
