Majority of NPP members, if not all Ghanaians continue to express grave concern about the utterances of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong on radio vis-a-vis the National Executives's inability to sanction him for once.

Although, I'm not trying to be judgmental, it is important to point it out to Ken. Agyapong, MP for Assin Central that, he has become more of a liability to the NPP than any party member. Therefore, the closer he gets to the NPP's Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, the harder for him to attract floating votes for Election 2016. Yes, Ken Agyapong did it in 2012 by a statement that angered most Ewes and Gas, including those in the NPP. Therefore, if some brakes were not applied on his mouth, it is very likely the man would do it again in 2016.

The following points, however, underscore why Ken Agyapong must be sanctioned without further delay.

• In the lead up to the NPP National Conference in Tamale, Ken accused the then National Chairman and Secretary, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey and Sir John of thievery. The sad thing is that, Ken never provided evidence to support his allegation.

• Though, Ghana is governed by laws and citizens are expected not to take the law into their own hands, the same Ken Agyapong supported the physical attacks on Kwabena Agyepong and Afoko at the party headquarters last year. This was after the duo, in conjunction with NEC, had tried to bring innovation to the party headquarters.

• Also, the insults Ken Agyapong has rained on former prez, John Agyekum Kufuor, Mr. Kwadwo Mpiani, Otumfuo, and Hon. Richard Anane cannot be recounted, yet, Ken's lifetime experience and age come nowhere near any of the aforementioned personalities.

• Not quite long ago, Ken Agyepong was on national television calling every single member of the party as a "stupid fool" and that, all members lack home sense. But, this is a party that has no mean a person than Nana Akufo-Addo as its Flagbearer.

• Seriously, when people chased Afoko and Kwabena out of the Upper East Region a couple of months ago, this so-called sensible Ken Agyapong praised the organisers for that barbaric act.

• After that, Ken was on his Oman FM accusing ex-prez Kufuor, Mpiani, Afoko, and Kwabena of masterminding the untimely and unfortunate death of the late U/E Regional Chairman. How could any party member call former president Kufuor, a "murderer", but Ken had the effrontery to do that without shame.

• Just recently, this same man disrespected the Flagbearer, Nana Addo by doing what he does best, insulting some fine brains in the party, when the Flagbearer had called for ceasefire.

From the above, one could see that Ken Agyapong is not making the NPP attractive by his utterances, but surprisingly, all that our Flagbearer could do was to use adjectives such as "senior party member"; "redoubtable" etc to describe the unrepentant man. Instead of being condemned for his loudmouth, Ken was rather appealed to ceasefire, a directive he once again flouted the following day on Hello FM in Kumasi.

In conclusion, I would say Ken Agyapong has outlived his political usefulness in the NPP and the earlier he was sanctioned for misconduct, the better for the party. Until Ken produces concrete evidence of Cash and material donation to the party, the man must let sleeping dogs lie. A popular and resourceful Campaign Chairman in the Central Region in the person of Ken Agyapong should have increased the party's parliamentary seats in the region, and not to reduce them drastically as happened.

I call on all party members, especially the Disciplinary Committee to be bold and deal with Ken Agyapong this time around, for, he is not more human than the likes of Dr. Arthur Kennedy and Dr. Wireko Brobbey.

God bless Ghana! God bless Nana Addo!! God bless Kufuor!!!
