President John Mahama must order the National Hajj Board and the Ghana Embassy in Saudi Arabia to immediately account for all Ghanaian pilgrims in the aftermath of last Thursday's disaster in Mina.

.

Information intercepted by freelance journalist network indicate that, bodies of some pilgrims killed in the stampede were still being kept in ambulances and had started to decompose because the medical facilities in Mina were overstretched.

So far, the board has confirmed that 5 Ghanaian lost their lives in the tragic incident in Mina, whilst

An undetermined number of pilgrims have also been declared missing.

Our president must work with the various state pilgrims' boards, Islamic organisations and private travel agencies involved in Hajj operations to speedily provide a confirmed and verifiable report on the status of every Ghanaian pilgrim in Saudi Arabia.

The president must also directed the Board, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ghana Embassy in Saudi Arabia to give all necessary assistance to Ghanaian s still receiving treatment for injuries suffered in Mina.

All concern citizens should continued to pray that Almighty Allah would receive the souls of the dead, comfort bereaved families, heal the injured and bring all surviving Ghanaian pilgrims safely home
