This is one of best articles I have read for sometime now.The analysis is very poignant but worrying to the extent that most African leaders even in opposition in some countries including Ghana are very old and are supposed to be relaxing as senior citizens. This for me is the bane of our problems even going into the future. Even people who performed abysmally as cabinet ministers when they were fairly young suddenly believe that they can do even better when they had pass 70 years. It is about time we agree that even the young are not finding the task that very easy and comfortable, how much more the old.God save our continent.

Very interesting we all do not seem to appreciate young nations need experienced ones to steer the ship of state and that when the nation has been built and stabilised then any person can be at the helm! However, the experienced and unarguably old ones do not include clueless, self-conceited full-of-themselves individuals that we are being coerced by our Press to behold everyday!! Matured, above fifties are good for the developing Third World nations.
