Nalerigu nurses training school; a school in limbo

Sat, 7 Nov 2015 Source: Mr. Bombe

It was with great enthusiasm and hope that a college of nursing and midwifery training school re-surfaced in the northern region, Nalerigu to be precise. I was also motivated by the fact that, if one attended this school you were trained for life to help the sick because students are not pampered there.

Folks, all these enthusiasms and hopes vanished into thin air taking cognizance of the kind of route the principal has taken. A bird whispered into my ears that, the entire student populace are over three thousand (3,000) with tutors numbering about ten (10) only. How on earth do you expect the students to get quality tuition?

Another information the bird could not hide from me is that, a greater segment of the student populace never attended interviews, yet they were able to manoeuvre their way into the lecture halls. Not stopping there, the bird added that, out of sympathy, some of them were given admission. The question I want to ask is, what kind of nurses do the principal intends to produce?

This issue of student’s nurses attending lectures in batches is what baffles me. Let me state here once again that the posture of the principal (Mr. Valantine Ayamba) smacks in me some kind of deep seated intellectual impotence.

As Voltaire once noted, “those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities”. I am very sure those who recommended you for the position are bowing their heads in shame.

Your humorous acting is often characterized by illiteracy, hilarious imbecility and a sharp disconnecting from reality.

Around Nalerigu and it’s environs you will be shocked to hear of what some of us know about you. You are asleep alright but your long legs are popping out of the master bed room.

Mr. Principal of college of nursing and midwifery training school-Nalerigu, with all due respect, spare us this 17th century attitude of your and resign before the quack nurses you are producing extinct us all. A word to the wise is ……….

God bless all my readers, God bless mother Ghana.
