A former player like, Rev Osei Kofi, must be a good example for the young players to follow because, he was truly a great player in his days and as at now, it is even going to be an understatement to some people if, one continue to say he was a good player.
He, has been a good communicator over the years in public for the old players and always seeking their warfare, but his thoughts and actions now a days, seems to be overtaken by greed and selfishness.
His, outcry made the Government, just last year gave the 1965 Black stars squad, which won the nations cup, an amount of $571,000 to be shared, and in the process, Osei Kofi even got double of the amount.
What else, should the Government and the GFA do for you an old-man. To come out to say that,"The Government and GFA have been banned from attending your funeral when you die,because they failed to honor the same 1965 squad at the 50th Anniversary", is a greed to its apogee.
Maybe, out of menopause and hunger,Osei Kofi has already forgotten that,his team were honored with money just last year,where he even gave all sort of applet ions to the Government.Rev.Osei Kofi,should accept the fact that, his era is gone and his squad have gotten all they were due from the trophy they won for Ghana in that 60s. Rev,should be appreciative and grateful to what the Government and the GFA, have done for them in the past if indeed he, (Osei Kofi) is true reverend.Because, l don't understand why in his speech as a reverend, he made mention of the fact that, if they don't honor them and he happens to die, his soul will come back to haunt them if, they ever step their feet at his funeral.It is very shame that, a whole church reverend, has this superstitious thought about reincarnation or ghost.That title seems to me as, self acclaimed .
When you see the old players, who were not lucky on their hay days compared, to this current football- where huge motivations are abound-begins to criticize the FA ,like what former player Dogo Moro said about the FA- that "Nyantakyi is confused",l wont hesitate to boldly say that, hunger and poverty is a great disease because it can even turns a calm and humbly man into split personality without realizing it.
