To be a minister goes beyond honor and responsibility.The duty of a minister in any sector is a general supervision of a work which not done properly, the culprit must face the consequence.
The Sports Minister-Nii Lamptey Vanderpuye,has totally breached the norm attaches to his swearing in to office.A sports minister who must see the day to day administration of his office,to me is in coma.
When the main minister is not at office,it is where the general responsibilities goes to the deputy minister to act on.
But,as things are currently going the table has turned to be a vice verse in the case of the sports ministers office.The deputy sports minister is now doing the work Nii Lamptey should have done whilst at office.
Nii Lamptey, refused many of the FA members from traveling to Mozambique but his office secretly sent some unknown 20 people who had no responsibility doing at Mozambique with tax payers money.
Nii Lamptey,instead of explaining to the people of Ghana why that happened at his office said he was unaware.
A minister,who could give a cheap excuse like this,doesn't worth that position and he must at once be relieved of his duty as sports minister.
How can things like mobilizing a group from your outfit to go and support Black stars in away game,where the expenses of each of the 20 individuals-accommodation,food,Per-Diem takes place and a minister on duty don't know. Nii Lamptey,has disappointed his employers by this excuse and he should be fired or resigned at once.
What,he has done is even worst than what his predecessors did that cost their job.The saga of kyinkyinga and pampers by Muntaka didn't even cost the country much, as spending tax payers money on 20 people who had no duty to perform at Mozambique.
Nii Lamptey,in fact should have known better,he has completely failed Ghanians and he is worst than any minister who fell victim to such a bad administration at this same office.
Nii Lamptey, must apologize to Ghanians because his excuse is not acceptable.Ghanians are crying of hardship in this country and if the sports ministry stoop so low in spending such big on on their selected members,is an insult.l am not sounding politics but it hurts.Nii Lamptey, is making his employers more unpopular for what his office has done.
