Do you think Rawlings can pretend to be pious, and kill people, he Rawlings has committed worse sin than his victims. If Rawlings is lying, it means serious trouble for him.
1. It means he is the Paul Gyamfi who has Swiss Bank Accounts.
2. It means he stole our gold and other minerals to Switzerland as it has been said in rumours.
3. It means Rawlings killed Kyereme Gyan for nothing.
4. It means he and his Ewes groups staged a revolution to terrorize Akans as it is said all the time.
5. It means Rawlings and his Ewe men staged satanic revolution to loot and steal Ghana.
It means every bad stories we have heard about Rawlings are true.
It means Rawlings was part of the killing team who killed the three judges and the retired army officer.
This serious if Rawlings received $5 Million stolen money from Nigerian military dictator and he is saying he just received $2Million. Rawlings sins are now been uncovered, and we shall know more about this unrepentant killer.

Ghana seems to be practicing what I term Democrazy, not Democracy, a practice that is well-suited for anarchy. Hitherto, it was the army that used to occupy the political space in Ghana and dictate to its citizens. Nowadays, traditional chiefs have conspicuously turned themselves into "political attention gatherers" who will do everything posible for their favorite candidates to win elections. In Democrazy, soldiers no longer control the political space by way of dictatorship, rather it is the barking traditional rulers who wield much power by imposing "the rule of dog" instead of resorting to the rule of law, and political discourse has now given way to political barking in the country.

Well written. There is one thing you forgot to mention. It is only under NDC rule that political ugliness rule in Ghana. And who caused that. J.J Rawlings. When he recruited NDC unqualified foot criminals into the security services and made the security services a political wing of the NDC this is what you get. This is the only reason why a bum like Salifu Maase Mugabi can threaten the supreme court judges and still be walking the street. In any other country he would be behind bars. Rawlings did his criminality to protect himself as he murdered high court judges. History repeat itself. That is why the judges must be firm and jail this war monger Salifu.

Kobbie, sorry you miss the point of the title. It is very appropriate. I don't see what is intellectual about Mr Annan's article either? I found it as an invigorating, well written common sense analysis of the decadence of values in our current dispensation. Especially a false perception that once your group controls institutions of power then your justice is the truth. The values Rawlings promoted and enforced when he had control is where we seem to have returned to with the MuntieFM saga. When our youth are radicalized and provided platforms to spew criminality because they feel invincible despite bad behavior due to political patronage to do so , then our future is at risk. Thanks James for a well informed article.

This is a mature and intellectual write_up which is full accurate discourse of ideas.James did not use the confrontational approach to reach out to discerning minds but gradually transited from the past to the present to enable us judge our current socio_political dispositions which are inherently recipes for a looming disaster.Today legislators political activists ,media panelists and irate youth take pride in the use of intemperate language to address opinions which ,I consider as misplaced acts of bravado.Running down the Presidency, the Judiciary,Ministers of State,Traditional Authorities and other law enforcement agencies, specifically the Police under the cloak of politics wouldn't achieve any desired result for any party in this country. The saying goes that empty barrels make the most noise.Attempting to destroy the hard won reputation of our Electoral Commissioners both past and present has not done us any good. You see we are now haunted by our own created past and have developed some form of paranoia as we head towards another Presidentialand Parliamentary Elections. Many of us including academicians and public service professionals know of the competence of the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission and repose our trust and confidence in her ability of ensuring a free, fair, transparent and verifiable elections this year.Countrymen, the insults all over the country on political platforms and in the media must stop now.The essence of any meaningful education both formal and informal is to enable us control our environment.Insults would not propel any candidate to victory in the coming elections. Those who posterity will judge greatly and who should feelthe guilt most are those with academic prefixes. It's a great shame to present day Ghana.Until we travel outside the country before we realize that we have become a laughing stock of black Africans. It's darkest before dawn,so to be forewarned is to be forearmed. If the creaking noise stops the cockroach enjoys its liberty. It's time to be civil towards our constituted authorities.God bless our Homeland Ghana.

Montie FM goes to Rawlings. For what?
Was it not Rawlings and Capt.Kojo Tsikata who masterminded the abduction and gruesome murder of the three High Court Judges and the retired Army Officer? Can they control the Judiciary to do their bid now that they have no power? This attempt by Montie FM is an exercise in futility.
The Supreme Court must not temper justice with mercy as the saying goes. On the contrary, they must slap these cocaine addicts with long custodial sentences to serve as a deterrent to all those paid agents of political parties whose main job description is to use their platforms to threaten right thinking people of this country. They must be punished severely to serve as a deterrent to other journalist in the print and radio industry. After all, majority of them are half baked illiterates with no genuine certificates.
As the Fourth Estate of the Republic, these half baked journalists, have over the years brought the good name of the Estate into disrepute, and it is high time the laws of this country be firmly applied to weed out the sychophants in the industry.
Such recklessness epitomised in the Rwanda genocide should never be allowed to rear its ugly head in the country. Enough is enough, and the Judiciary should not listen to any plea for leniency. They do so at the spell of their lives. When the enemy is looking for you, and misses the target, and by God's grace you get him at the receiving end, you don't dine with him. Instead, you crush his head. The insults of the Montie trio, and their paid agents must pay dearly for their vitriolic verbal diarrhia. Put them to jail, and let president Mahama give them the presidential pardon, for all Ghanaians to know who the true paymasters of these sensely magots were.
Going to Rawlings will not change anything, because the murder of the three High Court Judges and the retired Army Officer had been an albatross hanging on his neck since leaving office in 20001. With his age, confessions and multiple sickness, the once strongman of Ghana is not prepared for additional load.
Jerry, let them carry their own cross!
