With all due respect to Mr. Addo Kuffour, I have some difficulties in understanding his logic with regards to the appointment of the people from the opposing Party to be part of the Government for the sake of Inclusiveness. Nana Akuffo Addo was voted into power with a clear Mandate from 54 % of the Ghanaian Electorate to fulfill the Agenda which he presented to them for Approval which the Electorate approved decisively.
The Agenda of the opposing Party was clearly rejected. Therefore, why should he appoint somebody with this rejected Agenda for the sake of Iclusiveness to help him to implement the Agenda which has been approved. It is possible that this Appointee will sabotage the approved Agenda and thereby destroy the chances of re-election of NPP in four years. Nana Akuffo Addo has a lot of people in his Party who are equally capable of fighting corruption, and who by fully applying the existing Laws in the country in a transparent way, can accomplish this zeal. Dr. Addo Kuffour must remember that the majority of Ghanaians gave Nana the Mandate to work hard to improve their Lives and for the benefit of all Ghanaians.It is the same thing like Mr. Mitt Romney in the Republican Party in the US who wanted to be US Secretary of State but has an agressive Approach to the Russians than Mr. Trumph himself who has the Mandate from the People but has a quite different Approach to the Russans. Those who voted for Mr. Trumph disliked Mr.Romney´s Appointment to this position and as such, Mr.Trumph had to appoint a different Person altogether to this position. Therefore, Nana Addo must always remember those who voted for him so that they can renew his Mandate in the next election.

Martin cannot fit in that group of arrogant cheats who demean Northerners. If Martin hates corruption, as we are made to believe, then he is walking into the den of the creator of corruption.

We therefore wait to see if the the Corruption Hunter will kill Mr Corruption (NPP) or Mr Corruption will kill the Hunter.

But one thing is certain: NPP will never put Martin somewhere like being the AG or Public Prosecutor where he will block the impending looting. Watch this space!

Greenstreet during the campaign got sponsorship from the incumbent and therefore was not strange when he was seen attacking Nana and the NPP. He did so for his selfishness. Papa Kwasi Nduom was consistently attacking Nana and the NPP, claiming that they have been in power before and could not do anything. Meanwhile, we are all aware that Kufour's govt has Nduom as one of the leading ministers . He went to parliament on the ticket of the npp yet he thinks he went there on his own powers. It is because of his greediness that sent the npp into opposition. This is a man who can not function in any party. That is why he formed his own party, he is a CPP man and worked with the npp if he is a good politician he should be a member of one at least, but no unless his own party. Bringing such a dangerous man into npp again will spell a doom for the party and nana government .

The EC took the hole nation to the brink of chaos and anarchy; for that matter, it is criminal for anybody to heap praises on Charlotte and her crooks for the successful outcome of the elections. The success was achieved because Ghanaians were extra vigilant. In fact I would even say it was the determination and ingenuity of the opposition parties that brought about the success of the polls.
When the private sector was able to announce unofficial results from several polling stations within six ours after polls closed, it took the EC 48 hours to come out with the first official statement on the polls, and that was to throw credibility over the results that had trickled in, with the announcement that the commission had detected over-voting in some of the results that had been released! For all she cared, Charlotte never said another word about the over-voting she had detected, not even until now - three good weeks after the polls. This presupposes that the results she declared still contains over-voting and for that matter anybody can challenge the declaration in court any day!
Some of us are praying that Charlotte and her gang will be shown the exit before they can have another chance to bring chaos on us all!

During the 2008 electioneering process, we were informed that, Mills and mahama were the face of what they described as the New NDC. These two individuals recruited economic experts such as otukunor, Fifi kwetey, ablakwa, ofusu kwakye, etc to address the "economic woes" of this country. What that meant was that, the likes of Martin Amidu, Gbagbin and Professor Kwasi Botwe were regarded as spent professionals. The New NDC ensured the unprecedented economic development such trimming of the national purse to the advantage of thieves. I am hereby referring to woyomezation, Subalization, Gyeadalization and the Burkinabe Ford Expedition Speed, just to mention a handful. As for Ameri and Carpower, least talk about them, the better. The Asante ethnic group (not including even all their other brother AKAN groups) singly form the majority ethnic group in Ghana. They are known to be hard working, ambitious and capitalistic by nature. They aim to own their own properties (such as farms, houses, businesses and cars) by hardwork. In fact Asantes believe that working for the government in Ghana does not help people to live good lives or to achieve their dreams. They prefer to set up their own businesses or travel outside to the developed countries for greener pastures and can do any type of legitimate work to help them achieve their dreams irrespective of their level of education. To an Asante working for the government or in the public sector in Ghana should be the last resort. Comparatively more Asantes have left public sector jobs such as teaching and nursing in Ghana to engage in other productive activities which they believe pays than the other ethnic groups. They always want to do something that will support them in their old age instead of depending on the meagre payments from public pension.
Statistically although they fund their own education 60% of Asantes are LITERATES as against 40% of ethnic groups of the north even though they enjoy free education. If you see Asantes doing other jobs that does not mean they are illiterates or uneducated but the bottom line is that they apply economic theories. That is the reason why majority of them support NPP (private sector business promotion party) and not NDC that is a private sector business killing party.

In that leadership role, he can speak up on ordinary people's behalf when their rights are trampled upon, and name and shame all those who will participate in the gang-rape of Mother Ghana after 7th January, 2017.

He exposed this selfish mind of theirs though his mind was to talk of the inclusion of Amidu who also was once the Attorney General and justice minister but did nothing till he picked anger with the NDC and started attacking them, the NDC to prove he is a tiger type when it comes to corruption. We see a real corruption crusader when one is in power, not when in opposition then making noises.

I quote the statement which Addo Kufour came out with; '' No country can prosper when we have a huge minority hovering on the fences praying and working for the downfall of a government'' A rational political minded Ghanaian will ask why he said this at this time when he sees the NPP coming into power and not earlier when the NDC were in power so this mind of what he is saying could help our nation despite who is there.

The exposure of this Ashanti mind is what had caused Ghana to suffer for long because an average Ashanti mind in Ghana believes that when it is not an Ashanti or an Ashanti choice in control then everything get to spoil, as they see that right in their primitive villageous minds. Period.

They are aware of this reality l put across. And even every foolish Ghanaian is aware of their this negative mentality that had engulfed Ghana political arena. It is shame to hear Addo Kufour saying this good thing at this time because they want the support of others to do something better so that they would eventually claim to be the best, another selfishness, tribal bigotry, evil, wicked practices of we are the only best people in Ghana at work. Another disgracefulness.

Shame unto Ashantis that fall in this shameful and disgraceful mindset of approaching our national isses since it brings nothing good to us all. Further mo wonder the NDC communication expert Solomon Nkansah said there is nothing good that comes out of the Ashanti region. It may sound odd and painful in an Ashanti ears but it is a reality hence the only alternative is to change this evil mindset. Period.

What we need are sober policy makers, a clear and consistent process for rule of law, law enforcement and accountable governance, not vigilantes shouting from roof tops about their own integrity. Yes, Amidu has been a fighter for accountability, but so have lots of NGOs, etc., He may be better suited in an outsider role to police governance, not necessarily a member of the government. This is how we end up with square pegs in round holes and start needless hero worshiping that leads ultimately, to our demise.

The decision my Nana Addo to let the people elect their own local executives is one of the best decisions on local government in a generation. If implemented it will make a huge difference to the efficiency of local government. There should be local government elections as we have here in Britain. The metropolitan cities like Accra, Kumasi, Tamale Sekondi/Takoradi, Ho ete etc should have ELECTED MAYORS to govern them.
In addition these LOCAL AREAS should be given autonomy to raise funds to develop their areas eg property rate and undertake commercial project. As in UK they can engage in Estate Developments like Council properties, Agriculture etc etc. A properly run local government will have a huge impact on the people and that feel good factor would also impact on the Government.
It is one of the best decisions yet and the new government should implement it robustly.
