  Where I live, people are happy that our ambassador, a political appointee, will quit her post. She wasn't particularly liked for carrying herself too highly.
  
  But the thing is, the next person to take her place will also be a political appointee of the ruling government. And some people are not going to like her on account of that (we seem to always get a woman).
