Tribal politics an enemy to our development

Together, we have begun a political revolution to transform Ghana and that revolution continues.

Together, we continue the fight to create a government which represents all of us, and not just some tribe – a government based on the principles of economic, social and environmental justice.

I am proud we had a successful regional election. From time past, the NPP party has always been a collection of potential, enlightened, patriotic and hard-working men and women from various parts of the country.

If records are checked, the formation of the party takes her roots from not only one part of the country but cuts across all tribes.

This means we are all deeply interconnected. The NPP cannot and will not condone internal tribal politics but the most important thing is electing the right people out there to win elections in order to make our country strong.

In this coming congress in June, let us reflect on the reasons why we need executives, and why we are all making time to go to Koforidua to have these National elections.

We shouldn’t compromise our loyalty to this party by letting people influence us to put them into power. Vote people who know the grassroots of this party. People who will be a deep source of encouragement to our president Nana Akuffo Addo and help bring him back to power in 2020.

People who will not divide the party either by their actions or by their words but rather bring the members together and keep them in remembrance of the party’s values. That is; Assurance to Ghanaians, Entitlement to Ghanaians, and most importantly Combat Tribalism as far as I am concerned and so on.

In the human society, civilization can evolve only if people with the right thought and right action pool in their resources together to move towards the right direction.

The NPP I can boldly say is one of the most civilized entities in the country and our togetherness alone cannot even keep us In Power. But when we are together, we can encourage and advice our leader to help fulfill all promises to the Ghanaian people which will build the fidelity our leader is known for.

For now, decisions are upon us, and we cannot afford delay, We cannot mistake substitute spectacle for politics, or treat tribe-calling as reasoned debate. We must act; we must act knowing that we are imperfect but at least we know tribal politics is an enemy against democracy.

As to keep ourselves as one people, Ghana is not lost yet, we can make a difference. We should come together with our diversity and help President Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo retain the seat this coming 2020 election. And that is the major goal. God bless Ghana, God bless NPP.
