So the hope-laden budget statement for 2019 was most apt at this time that the naysayers and infidels are on the prowl, rummaging for the least opportunity to make disparaging effusions that tell nothing, but a tale of lopsidedness, and a verminous affliction of rabidity worse than the #DeadGoat syndrome that we have so much gotten accustomed to as characteristic of the NDC.

I do acknowledge that this budget statement, voluptuously sexy as it is, has addressed almost everything that needs attention, from the DKM scandal to the Special Prosecutor to roads, infrastructure, and all. It also told us how government was going to be reducing Ghana’s debt massively; debt largely accrued by an imbecilic government as the visionless NDC’s.

Now that the Special Prosecutor is going to be swimming in our money, let him be put on notice that we are watching events closely as they unfold. With this budgetary stimulus plan approved, Martin Alamissi Kaiser Amidu has no more excuses to throw tantrums over. I hope he works well and hard enough to attain a physique as voluptuous as the budget that gave him the long-awaited relief.

Conversely, his priority must be Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the Merchant Bank Saga, Dzifa Attivor, Sylvester Mensah, Okudzeto Ablakwa, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, Fiifi Kwertey, Baba Camara, Murtala, and other highly sophisticated fraudsters of the NDC.

Some of our own must be reeled in, too, if found to be complacent with the fortunes of the nation. In fact, there are a few, including one who is highly suspected of notorious activities in the business of smuggling fuel, threatening to have ministers fired if his nefarious activities were culled. There are some characters at the GPHA, as well, who need to be axed and investigated.

Martin Amidu has a gargantuan task ahead, but he should never forget that Woyome, Betty Mould Iddrisu, Marietta-Brew, Alex Mould (who took a $700million USD loan without the approval of parliament), et al must not escape his list of alleged criminals.
