Countrymen and women, loyalists and opponents, Sikaman universities have been making a lot of news headlines in the last couple of week ? for no good reason.
First the UDS spuriously refused to give Jerry Boom his doctorate degree for ?national security reasons? only known to the university council?s chairman and his concubines.
Secondly, and most worryingly, there are all these stories about scandals at the University of Legon ? even with the alleged involvement of the son of the vice chancellor. Then, there was the news that all the universities in Sikaman are introducing new programmes without the approval of the National Accreditation Board.
