The hard work of the Minister of Education Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh ,his deputies Gifty Twum Ampofo, Dr Osei Yaw Adu Twum and Minister of State Professor Kwesi Yankah in trying to ensure that the Ministry of Education Infrastructure deficits regarding classrooms and rebuilding of dilapidated school blocks are vigorously tackled is being sabotaged by one Nii Lante Quarcoopome, the head of the Funds and Procurement unit at the Ministry who has been exposed as a mole and a saboteur determined to frustrate all the companies and institutions executing these projects.
Nii Lante Quarcoopome who worked with Former President John Mahama on his manifesto committee on education has turned himself into a tin god and mafia don extorting huge sums of money ranging from 100,00 Ghana cedis to 150,000 Ghana cedis from companies.
He is also blackmailing companies to the extent of frustrating the companies to exit from executing the contracts, and then he sells the contracts at double the value to companies linked to the previous NDC government and to NDC Members of Parliament.
Nii Lante Quarcoopome has been of late been using the name of the Minister Dr Matthew Poku Prempeh to threaten and extort money from companies that are executing Get fund projects and whenever the companies refuse, he instructs consultants on the projects to write false reports to discredit the companies These reports cause the companies to lose the contracts, allowing him to retender the contracts and bring in companies who have paid huge bribes to him.
We call on his Excellency the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, Dr Matthew Prempeh to watch out against saboteurs and moles hiding at the Ministry determined to execute agendas to sabotage the government. We call on Dr Matthew Poku Prempeh to sit up and take swift action against Nii Lante Quarcoopome before it’s too late! The time for action is now!
