Despite the less than desirable beginning to the year, we should never miss out on any opportunity to celebrate the things and people that matter most to us.

Paul finally managed to get the job he always wanted. He and his wife celebrated the good news. The situation at home will finally improve.

Paul's wife had to give up work and stay at home because of their 3 young children.

They woke up early and thanked the lord that morning when he was starting his new job and he set off for work all excited.

Out of nowhere, a speeding driver drove into his side of the car. Paul was rushed to the hospital.

At his bedside, his poor wife cried and asked God why? Just as everything was going well, another setback. She could not hold back her tears even when nurses and doctors reassured her.

Several tests were done for both internal and external injuries but they found nothing.

The surprising news was the accident that totally destroyed his car had no impact on him at all.

They rather found liver cancer that was spreading very fast and if not treated would kill him.

Both husband and wife were totally surprised...

Paul had a surgery to remove cancer. The surgery was successful and he returned to his family.

What was meant to cause his death, gave him the opportunity to spend more years with his family.

Moral lessons

Not every unfortunate situation is a dead end. Many do have a disguised blessing (positive outcome) within.

Not every bad news is a disaster. Every journey we make is relevant. The most important value is to learn from "Our not so good days".

Even though the start of this year has been a cloudy one. Let's celebrate the positives and what is yet to come.
